If you're staying at the wedding hotel, this is a great place to walk around. Visit the Parthenon, a true-to-life replica of the Parthenon in Greece. Nashville was once known as the Athens of the South for its intellectual and academic life, but no, we still don't really get the Parthenon.
A great neighborhood for walking and shopping and popping in for a bite, especially if the weather's nice. This area can be overrun by millennials taking selfies, so beware.
Nearby area to walk around, shop, eat and drink. The Thompson Hotel, JW Marriott, and Westin all have great rooftop bars. There are also some fantastic restaurants in this area like 404 Kitchen, and music venues like the Station Inn. This area can also be overrun by millennials taking selfies, so beware.
We went here on our first date. Great cocktails and a fire pit outside if it's nice out.
Awesome cocktail bar!
Our favorite burger & beer dive bar.
Fantastic independent movie theater! One of our favorite things to do.
This is the classic local BBQ spot, but beware, you may need to wait in line for a while depending on when you get there. There are also other Martin's locations where you will have less of a wait - 1 is in East Nashville if you are staying closer to the wedding venue, and 1 is in 12 South if you are staying at the wedding hotel.
Really fantastic, fancy brisket. Not your down home BBQ spot, but super good.
