Lindsey is Brianna's Dad's Cousin's Daughter. We think that makes us second cousins? When we were in elementary school (and younger) we only saw each other twice a year for extended family reunions and at these get togethers we were inseparable. Once we were old enough to drive, Lindsey and I started visiting each other more often and to this day we are still very close.

As much as he wants to go by Derrick now, he will always be Oorlog in my heart. We met originally over X-Box (where I made fun of how his voice sounded -- and his in game name was Oorlog), but did not become friends until we happened to meet in person in high school several years later. Now, here we are over a decade later as the Best Man for each other's weddings.

Maddie and I became friends while we were both enrolled in nursing school at Seattle Pacific University. Maddie came up to me after class one day and asked if I would be her study buddy. During the first of many study sessions, we realized that we had a lot more in common than just pathophysiology, and ever since then we have been the best of friends.

Mark and I played baseball together from a young age. Our time in high school baseball involved warming the bench in style as we waited for out turn to get in and pitch - ah the life of a pitcher. College brought some distance, but we were reunited by a chance meeting at Mary Hill and now bond over the seats of a brewery instead of the dugout bench.

I started the Sasquatch Hiking Club at Seattle Pacific University to make new friends. Luckily, Sara joined my hiking club and went on some hikes with me. However, it wasn't until she and I shared a general requirement class that we really hit it off. The last two years of college Sara and I were roommates and shared many nights studying, cooking, and having late night talks.
Logan Petersen

Logan and I met in our Sophomore year of schooling to be Chemical Engineers. Always the cynic, we became friends since Logan "hated me less than everyone else". We became something like study buddies, and then roommates our Junior year. After two years of living together, though he is hard pressed to admit it - he loves me.. and I love his cat Mia (he's pretty cool too though).
Melissa Gamman

Melissa and I met during our new graduate ER residency at Holy Family Hospital. Melissa is one of the most adventurous people I know. We became fast friends and less than a year into knowing each other we decided to purchase plane tickets to Ireland, on a whim while we were meeting up for coffee, and for about three weeks we traveled all of Ireland in a rental car.
Carl Lawrence

Carl and I met through my older brother Alex. Alex abandoned us both and went off to North Carolina in search of a pretty penny, so naturally I swooped in and claimed Carl for my own. Since then, we have enjoyed many a good beer and cigar together. Carl is very tall (like 8 feet or something crazy like that) but don't be alarmed, he is a rather gentle giant.

Juillian is Brianna's nephew and one of his personal missions is to find a riddle that will stump Leif. He hasn't found one yet!

Katelyn and Annabelle are Leif's nieces. Whenever Leif sees them without Brianna they both go "Uncle Leif! Where is Auntie Bri!?"
