Bri and I met blindly Thursday September 28th, 2023 at Scriptown Brewery in the Blackstone neighborhood in Omaha. We exchanged numbers through a mutual friend and started texting a little--just enough for Bri to agree to grab a drink with me, probably thinking, "One drink won't hurt." Neither of us knew how it would go, but from the moment we met, it just felt easy. The conversation flowed, the laughs were real, and it felt like we'd known each other for a long time. That first drink turned into a great night and the start of something even better. In April of 2024, when a tornado destroyed my home, Bri took me in like a stray dog. What started as a temporary stay turned into something more permanent. That loss only brought us closer together and showed us just how important the love and support of our families and close friends can really be. On January 3rd, 2025, we returned to the place that it all began--Scriptown. Outside of that brewery, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. To no one's surprise, she said yes! We decided to take the leap and buy our first home together. We moved in at the end of February 2025. These days, we're busy fixing up our place -- me with the tools, Bri with the vision -- and planning our wedding! We're eager and excited to continue building this life together and can't wait to celebrate with all of you in paradise.
