The Wedding Website of Jane Chiu and Brian Moum
Our wedding venue is a 13th century medieval castle village with original walls and tower, containing beautiful Tuscan dwellings which have been converted into modern apartments. We invite our guests to stay with us in the village, where we will have the ceremony, reception, and other events throughout the weekend all within the castle walls.

House Or Rental

Castello di Gargonza

Gargonza, Tuscany, Italy

Castello Gargonza maintains 45 modern and fully equipped rooms that have been converted from apartments and public buildings from the original settlement. For our wedding weekend, we have reserved the entirety of the castle for our guests. The venue has provided a form for all guests to submit their booking information. Please see the "Room Booking" tab for more information.

Travel Note

Gargonza

The village of Gargonza on the map represents our entire venue; it is a small commune within the Tuscan countryside. The closest town is Monte San Savino, and the closest city with a train station is Arezzo. Our venue is only accessible by car; to arrive, all guests will need to either rent a car, or travel to Arezzo by public transit and then take a cab or shuttle from there.

Flight

Flight Options

The closest airport is Amerigo Vespucci Airport in Florence. There are not many direct flights to Florence from North America or Asia, but it's a good option for anyone connecting through a major European airport. The two major international airports (Leonardo da Vinci airport in Rome, and Malpensa airport in Milan) will be the best option for those looking for a direct flight. Both airports have high-speed train options available to get to Arezzo.

Train

Trains to Arezzo

High-speed trains are available to Arezzo from both Milano Centrale and Roma Termini stations. Trains from Milan will run directly to Arezzo, while trains from Rome will require one transfer in Florence.

Rental Car

Rental Cars

For those flying into Florence directly: Rental cars are available at the Florence airport, and Gargonza is only a short 1 hour drive. For all who are planning to fly into Italy through one of the two major international airports (Leonardo da Vinci airport in Rome, and Malpensa airport in Milan): Rental cars are available from both airports; the drive to Gargonza will be 2-3 hours from either airport, but the major highway (A1) will take you almost all the way there from either direction.

Rental Car

Taxi or Shuttle

For those planning to take a shuttle or cab to the venue, your best option is to take a train to Arezzo and then organize the final car transit from there for the shortest journey. Taxi services can also be organized from Florence or Sienna.

Travel Note

Travel Assistance

If anyone needs assistance creating a travel itinerary to Arezzo, or connecting with final-leg transportation providers from Arezzo to Gargonza, please reach out to Brian at (908) 531-1506.
