Our story began in the summer of 2019 when the company we both worked for hosted a happy hour near our office next to Madison Square Park. We worked in different parts of the company and had never met before, but we introduced ourselves to each other at this event and immediately felt a connection. After some light banter over the company Slack, we decided to go on our first date. We connected on travel, food, the outdoors, and our pets, among many other things. We continued to find enjoyment in each other’s company as we explored New York, sharing our own passions and experiences and finding new ones together. We came from such different backgrounds, but we were pleasantly surprised by how much we had in common. We spent a year living close by to each other in Manhattan before we finally found a bigger apartment and decided to move in together. We spent the next four years filling our little home in Chelsea with artwork, books, dog toys, flowers, travel souvenirs, wine, instruments, holiday decorations, cooking supplies, short-lived plants, board games, and, most importantly, incredible memories. This past summer we went for a walk through Madison Square Park, five years after we met in the very same place, and we made the decision to spend the rest of our lives together. It was the culmination of so many beautiful experiences together all over the world, and it felt right to take the next step in our relationship at the place where it all started. We are so excited to celebrate the moment we have been building towards for the entirety of our shared lives together with all of you. It is hard to put into words how deeply we appreciate all of your love and support over the last five years, and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to give you all a weekend full of celebration, love, revelry, and joy - which hopefully none of us will ever forget. With love, Jane & Brian
