The Fish Hatchery at Powder Mills Park
The fish hatchery is located on the other side of the same park where the reception lodge is. You can look at brown and rainbow trout in various pools. There are fish food dispensers if you’d like to feed them!
Mendon Ponds Park
If you’re feeling adventurous, Mendon Ponds is lovely. This is where Brian proposed to Cara! It has many walking trails through wooded areas. If you bring seed to hold up, there’s a good chance a chickadee will land in your hand! Wild Wings is a refuge building for injured birds (including eagles, hawks, and owls), and it is free to enter and look at them!
Schoen Place/Erie Canal
A quaint part of Pittsford located 10 minutes from the reception site. A walking trail runs right along the canal (a frequent walking spot of Brian & Cara’s). There are many cafes and shops to choose from including Pittsford Dairy (amazing ice cream) and the Village Bakery.
Eastview Mall
A large indoor shopping mall located 10 minutes from the reception site. Lots of department stores and popular brands!
