Things To Do

Chatham is a premier New England beach destination, so here’s the tip of the iceberg for places we recommend.

Main Street

Main Street, Chatham, MA

Quaint street full of quirky tourist shops. Fun to walk around, and home to the legendary "Candy Manor", among other notable locales. Cute stores and friendly locals, and also one of the few places in the world you can buy a dried horseshoe crab painted blue.

Chatham Lighthouse

37 Main St, Chatham, MA 02633
, 508 945 3830

Historic Chatham Lighthouse. Also happens to be across the street from one of our favorite beaches to stroll on.

Chatham Pier Fish Market

45 Barcliff Ave, Chatham, MA 02633
, 508 945 3474

Absolutely AMAZING fish and chips. THE place to go in Cape Cod for the best you’ll ever have. There’s limited outdoor seating, but it keeps well if you buy it and head home. While you wait for your order, you can also stroll down the pier and look at seals.

Chatham Candy Manor

484 Main St, Chatham, MA 02633
, 5089450825

Located in the heart of Main Street, this adorable little candy shop is the perfect place for souvenirs. From fresh saltwater taffy to bricks of fudge, it’s a wonderous if not overwhelming little shop!

Short 'n' Sweet Ice Cream

2334 Main Street, Chatham, MA 02659

Our favorite ice cream shop on the cape. Friendly owner, huge selection of flavors, all of them great. Perfect for the afternoon or even after dinner.

The Lanyard Bar & Grill

429 Massachusetts 28, Harwich, MA 02646
, (508) 430-0404

Nice hearty local restaurant with great seafood.

Chatham Filling Station

75 Old Harbor Road, Chatham, MA 02633
, (508) 945-4380

Wonderful little breakfast place. Great crab cakes and biscuits and gravy.

Yankee II Deep Sea Fishing Charter

715 Massachusetts 28, Harwich, Massachusetts 02646
, 508-432-2520

A four hour deep sea fishing charter! Leaves daily at 8am and comes back at noon. A fun trip that lets you enjoy being on the coast. There are many in the area, but this is the one we ended up doing the most. They don't REALLY have a website, and its best to call.

For all the days along the way
