The wedding will take place on Saturday, August 28. As you are jotting down our date in your calendar, we also encourage you to "save" a few others: Thursday, August 26 — Sunday, August 29. We are excited to celebrate our wedding with all of the people we love (that means you!). As we're sure you already know, Emery hails from South Carolina and Brian from New Jersey. While this made for a lot of fun road trips over the years, we realized that it made finding the perfect wedding venue a bit more difficult. Wherever we wanted to celebrate, at least half of our friends and family would be forced to travel. So, we decided to make it difficult for everyone (just kidding!... kind've...) and picked a beautiful estate nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. With every guest traveling from out of town, it made perfect sense to transform our wedding night into an extended wedding weekend! This set up provides everyone with the opportunity to spend quality time catching up with friends and family (we can't miss telling all those "good 'old days" stories by the fire) while enjoying the serenity of a wooded walk and the peaceful spaces of a private mountain getaway. All that said, we invite you to join us for a very unique wedding experience at Hawkesdene Estate for a multi-day, all-inclusive, mini-vacation celebration. We will have the entire 54-acre estate to ourselves replete with food, beverages, bonfires, llamas (why not?), lawn games, hiking trails, and—of course—all of our loved ones. We encourage our guests to stay onsite with us in one of the Hawkesdene’s beautiful cottages for two or three nights. We would also be remiss if we didn't mention that, as we will have so much space to ourselves, Hawkesdene is a highly socially distant and COVID-cautious venue. Those concerned about the virus (who knows where we will be in August) can easily maintain a safe distance from all other guests throughout the weekend. We want everyone to be healthy, happy, safe, and comfortable :)
