2019 - Dancing the night away at Emery's Barristers Ball (basically, law school prom)
2015 - In Israel, where it all began...
We stayed up all night on Christmas Eve to hike the Masada Snake Path and watch the sunrise with a few fellow travelers from our Birthright Israel group
2016 - Our first date at Monster Jam in Washington, DC!
2016 - We ran a 13-mile Spartan obstacle course mud run decked out as, well, spartans of course!
2016 - This was taken at Killington Peak in Vermont, just before we started dating. We both love skiing and snowboarding, but the most fun is laughing at each other when we fall on our faces (duh)
2019 - Brian graduated from Basic Army Training at Fort Leonard Wood! Now he is a firefighter in the Army National Guard with multiple honors & awards already on his dress blues. We are all so proud!
2019 - We ventured all the way to the Grand Canyon in the *springtime* and this was our picturesque view. We could barely see twenty feet in front of us through the blizzard.
We couldn't have made it through quarantine without these pups to keep us on our toes. Kai (left) is a border collie-husky mix and Finn (right) is a hound. They play, fight, & cry like true siblings
2016 - We hiked to the top of a windy North Carolina mountain at midnight and camped in ten degree weather, just to watch the sunrise from a fire tower. We almost died from the cold.
2017 - Brian bleached his hair, right before dyeing it bright blue... everyone makes mistakes!
2019 - Hikes, hikes, and more hikes! This was taken on the Big Bluff Goat Trail in the Ozarks. It is the tallest sheer bluff face found between the Rocky and Appalachian mountains. We recommend it!
2020 - Our first Christmas as a newly-engaged couple! Kai was not sure how she felt about the new arrangement.
2019 - Sometimes we dress up
2020 - This was the moment when we decided to enter into a verbal contract for a lifetime of adventures and a few select tax breaks.
2017 - We made a new Caribbean friend!
2018 - We moved to South Carolina so Emery could kick booty in law school. She will graduate in May with honors, and has already accepted her dream job as a corporate attorney. Go Gamecocks!
2018 - Jumping over the finish line fire with frozen feet and fingers. This was definitely one of the coldest mountain obstacle course races we had the courage to run.
2021 - A sneak peak of our engagement shoot in the Blue Ridge Mountains (yes, this is where Hawkesdene is! - like the view?). We can't wait to spend forever together
2016 - We finished the Green Mountain Adventure Challenge in Vermont, even though we accidentally ran, hiked, mountain biked (and, at one point, almost hitchhiked) 20 miles further than we needed to
2018 - These cheesy Texas-sized belt buckles are probably our hardest-earned trophies yet. We ran 35+ miles through deep Texas mud and battled over 60 obstacles to earn these bad boys in Fort Worth
2017 - Another Fourth of July on the lake! We love spending our summers boating on Lake Wateree in South Carolina
2021 - Following the last very strange year of online classes, Emery graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law with honors and an official hard-bound publication!
