Oregon. Sorry. It's all the South from then on.
PDX Then there will be some fun freeway driving.
Newberg (where the wedding is) or Oregon City (where the community is). Check out our travel page to peruse some options. We'd love to host you in a local family's home or tell you about relevant hotels.
It's about a 45 minute drive from Newberg (where the wedding will take place) and a 25 minute drive from Oregon City (where the bride's community is centralized). Don't leave without checking it out!
Rain. Just kidding, we aren't everything of which we are accused. It could be sunny! It could be 50 degrees! Or frosty and freezing or hailing or gray as death with, yes, a lot of rain. The key is to refrain from labeling and to be tolerant of Oregon weather and it will be behave (more or less).
The ceremony and reception will be at the same location out in Newberg, Oregon. The city is not much to talk about except for the wine and the views!
It's complicated. It involved 3000 mile road trip, an in-tune brother-in-law, friend from Canada made in Poland... And so forth.
Charlotte, North Carolina. For now.
6' 8" Bethany is 5'7" if anyone cares.
Brittain is a Nashville born monstrosity of a twin with a comforting talent of being able to connect on just about anything and concoct the mixed drink of your dreams. He is finishing his MDiv at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte where he works as an admissions director for the New York and Global campuses. He knows how to have a good time and generally laugh (while making Bethany laugh to an equal to greater portion) while possessing a generous dose of moods of reflection, deep book devotion, and select, high-handed areas of nerdiness.
Bethany is the fifth of six children, ex-goat devotee, nationally confused, Oregon originated, wannabe novelist and, in an odd turn of events, a morbid homebody. She has spent her time doing lots of assorted things, but especially working in dementia care, perusing journalism (which pains her soul), and getting to Ukraine and back again.
