Mark your calendars! We’re saying “I do” on February 22, 2026, at the historic Hemingway Home & Museum in Key West, Florida. Think lush gardens, tropical vibes, and maybe a little literary magic in the air.
Key West has two main vibes: Old Town—the lively, historic heart of the island where the party never stops, and New Town—a little quieter, roomier, and more laid-back but still just a quick ride from all the action. Blue Flamingo Resort (New Town) For a comfortable stay with resort-style perks and more space, Blue Flamingo Resort is a great pick. It has two pools, lawn games, three bars, plus a Starbucks and free shuttle to Old Town. Kaleigh & Brett will be staying here. Check the Travel page for more details about how to book. Old Town Key West If you want to be in the heart of it all surrounded by historic charm, buzzing bars, and walkable streets, Old Town is for you. This is where you'll find boutique hotels, cozy bed-and-breakfasts, and that classic Conch Republic energy. Just keep in mind—Old Town stays lively late into the night, so if you’re hoping for total peace and quiet, it might not be the best fit. Wherever you stay, you’re in for an unforgettable time in paradise!
We love your little ones, but due to the historic and delicate nature of the venue, we kindly ask that only older children attend the ceremony. If you have little ones, we can help arrange babysitting services so you can enjoy the celebration stress-free.
Yes, we get to party with Hemingway’s famous six-toed cats. These furry VIPs roam the property like they own the place (because they kinda do). All wedding events will take place outside, so if you have allergies we highly recommend bringing your go-to allergy meds.
Tropical Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Think fun, bright colors! Key West is all about that laid-back, tropical vibes. Think garden wedding chic—light, breezy fabrics, and comfy shoes (stilettos + garden paths = risky business). In February, Key West temperatures average around 75°F during the day and drop to about 65°F at night. It’s warm but comfortable, so plan accordingly!
Yes! We will have a shuttle available to transport guests to and from the Hemingway Home and the hotel. More details on timing will be shared as we get closer to the big day.
Probably not! Key West is a small island with plenty of Ubers, Lyfts, and taxis, and parking is scarce. The best way to get around is by rideshare, walking, or hopping on a bike or scooter. A ride from the hotel to Duval Street is about 15 minutes and costs around $10 (as of February 2025). The hotel to the airport is an easy 5 to 15 minute ride (depending on hotel location). Unless you plan on exploring outside of Key West, a rental car probably isn’t necessary.
Key West is packed with fun things to do! From bar-hopping on Duval Street to sunset sails, there’s something for everyone. We’re working on putting together a list of our favorite must-dos so you can make the most of your trip.
