FAQs

Hi Everyone! Your health and comfort is our absolute highest priority. As our wedding present, we ask you to share that mindset. To keep the party relaxed and carefree, we require everyone to be fully boostered and to get a negative COVID PCR test before celebrating. ***You will be asked to show proof of your negative PCR test when you arrive at the ceremony.*** Please see below for specific testing requirements. There will be no exceptions. With this commitment from everyone, we can't wait for our wedding to be a relaxed and joyful day!
Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 30th 2022 at the latest

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-formal or Festive attire Our short and sweet ceremony will have limited seating for those young and/or able-bodied so please keep that in mind. If you'd like to wear heels, just know you will need to remove them to ride the carousel horses (which we can't wait to do with you all!).

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan on arriving at least 15 minutes before the ceremony so there is time to check your proof of booster and test. No worries if you are extra early - it's a beautiful place to sit and coffee will be waiting for you!

Question

Should I drive to the ceremony?

Answer

NOPE! Seriously, DO NOT! There is no parking and the streets are confusing for even those experienced with the area. The wedding will go on without you while you are driving an hour in circles and parking a 30 minute walk away! Take the subway, a cab, or our hotel mini bus to the ceremony. Please see the Travel section for more details.

Question

I have dietary restrictions/a food allergy. Will I be able to enjoy the brunch?

Answer

Vegans, vegetarians, and those with peanut, sesame, and sunflower allergies have been accommodated for. Contact us for any other concerns.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

All invited guests were named when addressing your invitation, but if you feel unsure please reach out!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to pandemic unknowns we are not inviting children to celebrate. If your child is under the age of 2 and you'd like to bring them please reach out to us to discuss.

Question

Everyone has to be tested?

Answer

Yes, consider it our wedding gift! We are putting everyone we love in a room together so we require everyone to get tested before they party with us. THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE: WE WILL NOW ONLY BE ACCEPTING PCR TESTS DUE TO THE RISE IN CASES AND THE INACCURACY OF RAPID TESTING FOR THE CURRENT COVID VARIANT. We will accept results from a PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before the ceremony. Have your negative test result ready to show at the ceremony. If you get to NYC early in the week, look up LabQ Mobile Testing which have easy, free PCR Tests and no indoor waiting rooms - it is all outside. PCR test results usually come back within 20hrs. Their website: https://labq.com/covid-mobile-testing/ Locations closest to the hotel, check website for hours: 320 Jay Street, Brooklyn NY 11201 55 Washington Street, Brooklyn NY 11201 209 Joralemon, Brooklyn NY 11201 If you are unfamiliar with PCR testing - it is 99.9percent accurate, and is simple and quick. Results can take 24 -48 hrs to get depending on where you are tested. Drugstores, pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and urgent care centers around the US have PCR testing available.

Question

I'm not fully boostered or don't want to take a test - what do I do?

Answer

Please RSVP 'I Will Not Attend'. You will be asked to leave if you come to celebrate and these requirements are not fulfilled.

Question

What about masks?

Answer

The majority of this event will be without masks. That being said, please bring a mask with you as you will need it to take the cars from the ceremony to the reception. A KN95 or N95 is encouraged for transportation. Everyone working at the wedding will be masked and fully vaccinated.

Question

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Outdoors. Jane's Carousel is in an amazing clear glass structure that opens onto the waterfront. The ceremony will technically be half in and half out of the structure.

Question

Is the reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Indoors. The space has 30 foot ceilings and at least one central door will be open for ventilation.

Question

I'm going on a trip to Europe right before your wedding, can I still come?

Answer

Only if you've been in a safe area again for 2 weeks prior to the wedding. This applies to any international travel or travel to an area within the US with a large amount of cases. Thank you for your diligence in keeping everyone we love safe on our wedding day.

Question

How many people are invited?

Answer

We've invited 40 guests - so that is the maximum number of party people you can expect.

Question

How do we contact you?

Answer

If you have any questions about the above, reach out to us at: Judith: ingber.j@gmail.com Brett: brett.kuklewicz@gmail.com
