We’re getting Maui’d

Danielle and Brett met in Calgary, Alberta in 2011. Danielle was finishing school at Mount Royal University and Brett was working for Apple. Since then, she has taught him how to play soccer and Brett has instilled a deep love for the Blue Jays in her. They recently moved to Vancouver, BC so Brett could continue to expand his career with Apple and Danielle could begin hers with WestJet. They currently live in New Westminster, just south of downtown.

They both had planned a trip to New York City in May of 2017. Four months earlier Brett began to shop for engagement rings. He had solicited ideas from a few people he knew that had lived in NYC leading him to make the decision to pop the question on the Brooklyn Bridge. Brett connected with Mannat Kaur, a photographer in NYC who helped him plan the surprise proposal. He told Danielle that they were going to head to Brooklyn Bridge early in order to attach a ‘love lock’ to the side of the bridge. Early in the morning on May 23rd, he asked and she answered. The rest is history.
