Cascades Park
Right in the middle of downtown Tallahassee, Cascades Park is a great spot to walk around, relax, or grab a bite nearby. There are fountains, trails, and plenty of green space to hang out—perfect if you just want to be outside for a bit.
Tallahassee Museum
This place is way more than a museum—it's part wildlife park, part historic village, and part outdoor adventure. You can see native animals like panthers and bears, walk through old Florida homes, or even zipline through the trees!
Florida State Capitol
Take a peek inside Florida’s government at the State Capitol complex. The 22-story building offers panoramic views of the city from the observation deck, and the Historic Capitol next door has been beautifully restored to its 1902 glory.
Mission San Luis
Tallahassee's only National Historic Landmark. This 64-acre active archaeological and historic site, a reconstructed Spanish mission that was once home to Apalachee Indians and Spanish settlers. With costumed interpreters and living history demonstrations - it gives you a glimpse of what life was like here centuries ago.
Leon Sinks Geological Area
A must for nature lovers! Leon Sinks offers boardwalks and hiking trails through stunning sinkholes, hardwood forests, and karst landscapes. It’s a unique glimpse into Florida’s underground aquifer system.
St. Marks Wildlife Refuge
One of the oldest wildlife refuges in the country, St. Marks is a peaceful coastal escape filled with marshes, birds, and all kinds of wildlife. Don’t miss the historic lighthouse and the sunset views. It’s peaceful and great for a scenic drive or easy walk.
Wakulla Springs
Home to one of the world’s largest and deepest freshwater springs, the waters of Wakulla Springs host diverse wildlife that can be viewed from a riverboat or the diving platform. It’s classic old Florida and makes for a great afternoon.
