The Wedding Website of Brenna Murphy and Sarah Gerali
There are two major airports you can fly into when traveling to Chicago: O'Hare International Airport (ORD) Midway International Airport (MDW) From the airport, you have the option to take a Taxi/Uber into the city or the "L" train (blue line from O'hare, orange line from Midway). WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOOKING ACCOMMODATIONS EARLY AS OUR WEDDING WEEKEND IS ALSO CHICAGO MARATHON WEEKEND. You are welcome to stay wherever is best for you! We will have blocks of rooms reserved at The Hoxton Hotel and the Hyatt House West Loop (details below). Additionally, there are a number of hotels near the Magnificent Mile, which would be ~15 Uber/Lyft from the venue. Airbnbs are a good option too. The Chicago Marathon is Sunday morning. It is an exciting event that is fun to watch if you are staying until Monday. However, it does cause traffic issues. Please see note below!! Feel free to reach out with any questions about lodging as we know this is a difficult weekend.

Travel Note

Chicago Marathon Route

Attached is a map outlining the Chicago Marathon route. Taxis/Ubers will NOT be able to reach you if you are inside the marathon route while it is being run. If you choose to stay at a hotel inside the marathon route and are flying out on Sunday, please plan to take the "L" train to the airport or wait until the marathon is over.

Train

CTA Blue Line

The "L" train is a great way to get to the city from the airport. Follow signs in the airport to "CTA Train" and there will be machines to buy tickets. From O'hare Airport you will take the blue line towards "Forest Park" which will take you towards the city. If you put your destination into google maps it will tell you which stop to get off at. If taking the train from the city back to the airport, board the blue line train headed towards "O'Hare".

Train

CTA Orange Line

Follow signs in the airport to "CTA Train" and there will be machines to buy tickets. From Midway Airport you will take the orange line towards the "Loop" which will take you to the city. If you put your destination into google maps it will tell you which stop to get off at. If taking the train from the city back to the airport, board the orange line train headed towards "Midway".
