Architectural Boat Tour
Chicago is home to amazing architecture and there is no better way to see it than from the water! The boat tours take you up and down each leg of the river while teaching you about the history of the beautiful buildings that make up the Chicago skyline. We would highly recommend this experience, especially if it is your first time in Chicago! You can often find "Groupons" or other deals on tickets. Plan to purchase your tickets online to make things easier and reserve a specific time.
Lincoln Park
Take a walk through the gorgeous Lincoln Park where Sarah and I used to live! Things to explore: Lincoln Park Zoo, Lincoln Park Conservatory, Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool, North Pond.
Lakefront Trail
Miles of trails line the lake front adjacent to the city. Grab a bike or take a walk along the path to enjoy the beauty of Lake Michigan and Chicago skyline views! Pro Tip: There are rental bikes and electric bikes throughout the city. Find a Divvy Bike station and rent a bike to explore the city!
Sawada Coffee
One of our fav coffee places in the city! And a short walk from The Hoxton or The Hyatt :) P.s. the entrance isn't obvious but you'll see lots of people coming in/out.
Green Street Smoked Meats
In the same building as Sawada Coffee this is also just a short walk from the hotels! Green Street Smoked Meats has some incredible BBQ and is order at the counter service if you are looking for a quick meal. Our go to order: chopped brisket, elotes, potato salad!
Aba
One of Brenna's favorite restaurants in the city right down the street from The Hoxton! Aba serves mediterranean food in a dreamy atmosphere with top notch cocktails. You will need a reservation!!! I would plan to book a reservation a few weeks in advance if you are interested in dining here. Attached is their website for ease of making reservations and to explore their menu :)
