In true millennial fashion, we met on Hinge (a dating app) and started talking in September 2020. After a couple weeks of talking, Brenna suggested we meet for a drink or picnic outdoors (COVID times). Sarah instead suggested we first have a Zoom date. Brenna thought this was due to Sarah wanting to be COVID cautious, however, later found out it wasn't about COVID at all. Sarah was nervous to meet Brenna. After two zoom dates within a 3 day span, we planned our first in-person date. On October 12th, 2020 we had our first date at Stella Barra, and 4 years later on that same date we will be celebrating our love with all of you at our wedding!

We had plans to have Dim Sum in Chinatown as a belated birthday celebration for Brenna's best friend. Before dinner we were all going to meet at Ping Tom Park to take in the Chicago skyline views. As we walked from our Uber into the park, Sarah began talking about the significance of dates. Before she could finish her thought, Brenna cut her off saying "oh my god, are you doing it?!". To which Sarah replied, "I'm trying to!". Sarah then got down on one knee and proposed. Brenna replied with a resounding, "YES!". Although Brenna somewhat saw the proposal coming, she was completely surprised by the engagement party post-proposal. Sarah had managed to coordinate all our family coming in to town! All of them along with our closest Chicago friends were waiting for us at our apartment when we came home.
