Grayson Highlands State Park is near the Virginia-North Carolina border, and a car is necessary.
The closest cities are about an hour away and are Abingdon (VA) and Boone or Wilkesboro (NC). Hotels are available in these cities, but we highly suggest looking at a vacation rental/AirBNB. Camping is available at the park.
