See below for commonly asked questions regarding travel to Puerto Rico or the wedding. Reach out to Rocio or Brandon if you have any other questions.
Question

Do I require a passport for travel to Puerto Rico?

Answer

You do not! Puerto Rico is a U.S territory and only requirement is a driver's license for travel. You can still travel with your passport as well. Remember there are still COVID-19 restrictions, please check here for latest updates: https://www.travelsafe.pr.gov/

Question

When will the bride and groom be in San Juan?

Answer

We will be staying in the San Juan area from Tuesday, November 23rd through Tuesday, November 30th. We will head off to our honeymoon on the 30th.

Question

I have a food allergy/restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please message Rocio or Brandon directly and we can accommodate with the catering for an appropriate meal for you at the wedding.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Per our venue contract, no kids under 12 are allowed at the venue. Due to the nature of the Hacienda, it has lot of levels with stone steps, and an unguarded pool. We do have a waiver and liability form that needs to be signed in order to proceed with children on the premises. Please contact Rocio or Brandon directly with any questions.

Question

What's the wedding dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire with a tropical flare! The venue is located in the rainforest and can be very humid and hot depending on weather. We recommend for... Men - Wear lighter layers and avoid a full suit or heavy jacket so you are not too hot. Ladies - Do not wear stilettos. There is uneven flooring through the venue. It varies between grassy areas, and tile that can be very slippery if it rains.

Question

Whats the weather in Puerto Rico?

Answer

Puerto Rico has one of the most unvarying climates in the world. Temperatures year-round range from 75° to 85°F. Leave your winter clothes behind, and bring your best island wear: sandals, shorts, skirts, dresses, and light layers. Don't forget your sunscreen and hats!

Question

Do I need a car rental?

Answer

It's up to you! If you are planning to stay in the San Juan area, Uber and taxis are available and affordable. The airport is very close to the hotel and an easy taxi ride. Looking to get more adventurous to explore outside of San Juan? You can rent cars right at the airport! We would suggest this option if planning to travel around the island or take any day trips.

Question

Should I bring my wedding gift with me to the venue?

Answer

No, please do not bring wedding gifts to the venue. We will be traveling before and after our wedding with no room for extra things! Please send gifts directly to our home in Massachusetts per the registry details.
