Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

Enjoy the rest of the venue before the event! There are plenty of exhibits to see besides the room the reception is located in. Every couple of months we visit the conservatory to explore the new exhibits.

Cathedral of Learning

The building right across the ceremony! Tour the nationality room at the Cathedral of Learning! This building is where some of our classes were held while at the University of Pittsburgh. Learn about the cultures and history of Pittsburgh. Go to the 35th floor for some amazing views of Oakland!

Schenley Plaza

Visit the plaza where we would go on many picnic and hammocking dates. We enjoyed this spot while as students and today. It is a great place to take furry friends and enjoy some good food.

Panther Statue

Take a selfie with Roc! Roc is the Pitt Panther, the mascot of our alma mater.

Duquesne Incline

The incline is where you can see the best views of Pittsburgh. It is also where he proposed!

Carnegie Museum of Natural History

Enjoy the Carnegie Art and National History Museum! Theres many exhibits to explore while waiting.

Senator John Heinz History Center

Point State Park Fountain

Get close to where all 3 rivers intersect at this beautiful fountain/park. You can also walk nearby to Market Square or consider Heinz Hall or Benedum Center for any scheduled performances.

Geppetto Cafe

Our favorite crepe spot in Pittsburgh! We've been here many times together and with friends. We enjoy the decor along with their lattes.

Arsenal Bowl

Cash only retro-bowling place. There are all-you-can-bowl options on weekends from 12pm-3pm for $18 and typically anytime after 9pm-1am for $25. Rentals are typically included in these specials.

Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium

Soergel Orchards

A very popular family-friendly place for apple and pumpkin picking as well as hayrides.

Tsaocaa

Get some bubble tea at our favorite spot! We tested it against all the others in the city, but nothing beats their boba.

This is our favorite ice cream joint! Along with authentic Belgium waffles, enjoy the little shops along walnut street as well.

A bunch of places clumped together around Acrisure Stadium (formerly known as Heinz Field) that are exciting places to enjoy science and art! - Karim Science Center (formerly Carnegie Science Center) - Mattress Factory (this isn't actually a mattress factory but a walkable museum) - Museum of Illusions Pittsburgh - The Andy Warhol Museum - Rivers Casino (for not so family friendly fun)

Strip District

Pittsburgh's cultural district. Filled with stores and restaurants from all types of cultures.

Lawrenceville

A trendy location more suitable for nightlife. Some notable locations: - Gepetto (a crepe cafe) - La Gourmandine (a french bakery) - Condados Tacos - Allegheny Cemetery (not a joke, an interesting area to walk through) - Arsenal Bowl
