- Cliff at Lyons can provide a leaflet with local walks along the grand canal. 
- Donadea Forest is also a 25 minute drive. 
- The Irish National Stud is one of the only thoroughbred breeding farms open to the public. The grounds are also home to the Japanese Gardens & St Fiachras Garden. 
- Kildare Village is home to 100 boutiques of designer brands offering savings on the original retail price.
