Go Sailing on the the Bay
August is a great time for sailing the Bay. If you make plans in advance of your trip, there are many fun sailing tours to get out on the water. Book early, August is tourist season and tours will sell out.
The Ferry Building San Francisco
TAKE THE FERRY INTO SAN FRANCISCO. If you are staying at the Marriott in Larkspur, the Ferry Terminal is only a short walking distance.
Bon Tempe Lake Trailhead
Get a true taste of California hiking this lakeside hike in Marin. Only 20 minutes from San Anselmo, Bon Tempe is an easy 2 hour hike with quick access to Fairfax, a rustic California town full of wonderful food and drink options.
Marin Country Mart
One of Tam and Brad's weekend-go-to-spots. Marin Country Mart is a kid-friendly, open-air, modern shopping, and eating complex. Kick off your Saturday morning with a croissant at Rustic Bakery, and a coffee at Starbucks then stroll through the Saturday morning farmer's market with live music. Cure your hangout over from the Saturday party with lunch from the Food Trucks on Sunday. Then take the Ferry Terminal to get to San Francisco. Peacock Gap Golf Club
The Wedding Ceremony ends at 3:30pm, so if you want to get some swings in before the Wedding Reception starts at 6:00pm, the Gap has a great driving range with views. A good cafe, beer carts and nine holes might get you warmed up for the party that is waiting for you. Hit em straight.
Cataract Falls
It is a moderately difficult hike with steps but is worth it! It's one of the most popular falls trails in Marin County. Drive slowly and enjoy a scenic route to the trailhead This is a great hike with scattered cascading waterfalls throughout the trail in a forest setting. It's beautiful and relaxing.
WALK CORTE MADERA CREEK
After a long day, this is Tam and Brad's favorite place for a stroll after dinner. Leisurely stroll down Corte Madera Creek, finish with a craft cocktail at our local favorite restaurant, Guesthouse, in Kentfield
