One of us was a Chester kid and the other from West Salem, we first met when the schools combined in 6th grade. Brooke always had a secret crush on Jordan, but she was too shy to tell him. We didn't become friends until the end of our senior year in 2009. Life took us down different paths to colleges and eventually careers in different parts of the state. We always remained friends, getting together for college parties, birthdays, Thanksgiving eves in Wooster and life's other big moments. In early 2017, Brooke was set to move 500 miles away to Columbia, South Carolina and Jordan hosted a going away party at his cabin. He told her he was planning on being in Myrtle Beach a month later and she said she'd totally come visit only to find out he got the place wrong and was vacationing at the Outer Banks. She made the much longer than anticipated drive from Columbia to the Outer Banks, which kicked off the worst timed relationship in history. After a few months of talking long distance and making plans to see each other when they could, they made their relationship 'Facebook official' on July 4, 2017 and continued a long distance relationship for another year until Brooke moved back to Ohio. Our time in 2018 was filled with many moves as we looked for a house closer to our jobs in central Ohio. We eventually put down roots in Johnstown in spring of 2019 and added Hemi and honey bees to our zoo of Vonn, Moh and Crimson. When we aren't working on project reforestation, we are home brewing wine. With a love for travel and agreed dislike for Christmas, we planned a trip to Arizona for Christmas 2020. Jordan was sneaky and meticulously set up our new camera & tripod for one last 'canyon content' selfie on our last day at the Grand Canyon. He then surprised Brooke with the gift of a life time and asked her to marry him on December 24 (maybe Christmas isn't so bad after all...). It's been a crazy adventure and we can't wait for what our next chapter has in store!
