Mikaeyla and Betsy have been best friends since Betsy was Mikaeyla’s summer discipleship leader in college. Betsy has been there for some of the toughest moments of Mikaeyla’s life and have shared many of these together. Even when Mikaeyla moved from Washington to Montana, Betsy was a rare friend that was easy to stay in contact with and share life with. Mikaeyla and Betsy love to spend time fangirling over Taylor Swift, going on long drives together, or making fun drinks. Fun Fact: Before Alex started making Spotify playlists for Mikaeyla, Betsy would frequently spend her time making Mikaeyla special playlists for different seasons of life

Brian Byersdorf

Brian and Alex have been friends for at least 18 years, in many capacities. Brian was Alex's small-group leader at church in high school, even though they're only three years apart in age. Brian has been a confidant, mentor, buyer's remorse support group (cars, music gear, camping gear... you name it!), and really good friend. Fun Fact: Brian and Alex and Jordan have had a group text ongoing for about 8 years

Molly Robinson

Molly has been a friend to Mikaeyla from the end of her time in college all the way through her time living in Bozeman, MT. They worked together on staff for Resonate church and learned a lot about what it means to guide and lead a church through the ups and downs together. They got especially close during the time Mikaeyla lived with Molly and her husband for the last 2 years she was in Bozeman. Mikaeyla and Molly love to paint, watch a fun TV show, or go thrifting together. Fun Fact: Molly’s husband’s name is also Alex, which was very confusing at times. So, Molly’s husband gave Alex the nickname “Hot Boi Alex”, a name all Mikaeyla’s friends began calling him. This is also still the name that Mikaeyla has in her phone contact for Alex.

Jordan Whitten

Jordan and Alex have been friends for about 15 years. They've played music together for the majority of that time in worship music at various churches. Jordan has always been Alex's go-to for help and advice for guitars, cars, and worship leading. Jordan single-handedly kept Alex's crappy BMW running while he had it. Fun fact: Alex and Jordan used to play music for week-long Jr. High and High school summer camps. Alex played the drums and Jordan was lead vocals/guitars

Adrianna Floyd

Mikaeyla and Adri have been friends since college. They became especially close, however, when Adri moved to Bozeman. Mikaeyla and Adri lived together for a short time before Adri got married. Mikaeyla and Adri love spending time at coffee shops having long conversations about life together, or cooking something fun for dinner. Adri is an incredible chef and baker so Mikaeyla does a lot of learning from her. Fun Fact: Adri moved to Western Washington from Bozeman at about the same time Mikaeyla did! It has been so sweet to still continue their friendship in the same state

TJ and Alex have been friends for many many years - too many to count! Their friendship really took off in high school through music - playing in a high school worship band. Since then, they have remained friends, sharing new music with each other and seeing concerts. Even though they live in different states, they always pick up where they left off when they're together. Fun Fact: TJ lived next to Alex's grandma for a short time when they were young

Aurora Lakey

Mikaeyla and Aurora have been long distance friends their whole friendship, apart from a 6 week period where they got to live in San Diego together discipling college students. Regardless, Aurora and Mikaeyla developed a quick friendship while seeing each other every few months for regional staff meetings. Aurora and Mikaeyla have spent a lot of their friendship supporting each other as they individually made difficult life decisions and navigated dating. They love thrifting, sharing new music, dancing, and exploring new places together. Fun Fact: The first time Aurora met Alex was at a mutual friend's wedding!

Chase Halen

Chase and Alex have been friends off and on (technically) since elementary school. They went to the same high school and were friends, but really became friends in their 20's, when Chase moved back to Seattle and needed a last-minute drummer for a studio session the next day! Since then, they were in a band together (on the shelf since Covid, but some day, Yada Yada WILL return), and hang out when they can. Fun Fact: Chase was the first friend of Alex's that Mikaeyla met!

Emma Hanis

Mikaeyla and Emma have been close friends since they both participated in college summer discipleship together. Her and her husband, Kyle, have been great friends to Mikaeyla even long-distance after she moved to Montana. Emma and Mikaeyla love to have spontaneous dance parties together, make fun cocktails, and have unfiltered conversations about life. Emma has been there for the lowest and highest moments of Mikaeyla's life, so it wouldn't have made sense for her to not be by Mikaeyla's side on her wedding day Fun Fact: Mikaeyla was staying with Emma and her husband when Mikaeyla was visiting Seattle to meet Alex in person for the first time. Emma had a feeling it would be a moment to remember, so she insisted they take a selfie together before dropping Mikaeyla off at her date.

Julia Strazz

Mikaeyla and Julia became friends while Mikaeyla was living in Bozeman. Mikaeyla started off as a spiritual mentor to Julia, but very quickly the dynamic shifted to peer, friend and confidante. Julia has always been a source of encouragement, hope, and joy to Mikaeyla, even on the toughest days. Mikaeyla and Julia love to watch New Girl, throw parties together, and challenge each other to be the best version of themselves. Fun Fact: Before Alex, Julia has historically been Mikaeyla's go-to dance partner. Mikaeyla always knows she can depend on Julia to join her on the dance floor. They have even attended silent discos together!

Rebecca Pravecek

Although Mikaeyla and Rebecca have been friends for a while, they became close when Rebecca moved to Bozeman, MT while Mikaeyla was still living there. For a short time, Mikaeyla and Rebecca worked together at Resonate Church in Bozeman and were a natural support system and team. Specifically while Alex and Mikaeyla were dating long distance, Rebecca often offered her wisdom since her and her husband also dated long distance for a time before moving to his city. Rebecca and Mikaeyla love having long coffee dates together and obsessing over Disney movies. Fun Fact: Mikaeyla had the honor of being a bridesmaid to Rebecca when she married her husband, Nick this last May.

Lilliana Thorstad

Mikaeyla and Lilly met in college when Lilly was starting her freshman year. Lilly joined the small group that Mikaeyla led then ended up making the decision to transfer colleges and join a team moving to Montana to start an on-campus church at MSU. Mikaeyla started off as a spiritual leader to Lilly, but over the years Lilly became one of Mikaeyla's closest friends, also mentoring her through life. Mikaeyla had the honor of being Lilly's bridesmaid when she married her husband, Geoff. Fun fact: Mikaeyla and Lilly lived together for 3 years while in Bozeman, and served in many ways as Mikaeyla's practice husband.
