Alex and Mikaeyla met in the most traditional way, on a dating app! Mikaeyla didn’t think she’d end up in a long-distance relationship with someone while living in Bozeman, MT, but the thought of moving back to the Seattle area had already been on her mind. On his dating profile, Alex only had one photo - one. single. photo. (come on, Alex!), but that one photo was all Mikaeyla needed. Immediately she felt like he could be someone she could trust and have lots of fun with. So, she swiped right! Alex was focusing on finding someone to spend the rest of his life with, and when he found that this BEAUTIFUL woman had already liked him (he paid for premium, shocking no one), he was ready to find out more! On December 1, 2022, Alex messaged Mikaeyla for the first time. They quickly became interested in each other, and on December 4, Alex asked Mikaeyla on their first FaceTime date. They ended up talking over video for an hour and a half. As time progressed, the calls got longer, many times 3-5hrs long! Mikaeyla was home in Gig Harbor visiting family, and on December 28, Alex & Mikaeyla had their first in-person date at Rueben's Brewhouse. They went on a date again the following night (Thai food and a pinball bar), and then their 3rd in-person date was to a friend's New Year's Eve party (Thanks Emma!). As Mikaeyla was headed back to Montana, Alex was already figuring out how to get to Bozeman ASAP for another visit. Alex and Mikaeyla spent their early months on long, late night facetime calls, covering all topics, and sharing deep a connection. Alex came to Bozeman for the first time in February. They switched off visiting each other every 4-5 weeks, until May of 2023, when Mikaeyla shared with Alex that she planned to move to Seattle. Alex spent the summer showing Mikaeyla all of his favorite spots. They love to spend time at Golden Gardens, watching the sunset with charcuterie and wine or going to trivia nights with friends. Alex asked Mikaeyla if she would be his wife on October 20, 2023. They can't wait to be married and start their lives together as Mr. and Mrs. Booth!
