Lake Tahoe
North Lake Tahoe is about 1.5 hours from Grass Valley. An iconic California landmark and worth the trip if you have time.
Tahoe National Forest
Our local National Forest (and also Jesse's employer!). A wide variety of options for hiking and biking trails, river access, or scenic drives. Julia and Jesse are happy to give specific recommendations within the forest.
Scotts Flat
Local reservoir, great for swimming.
Grass Valley
Downtown Grass Valley is a historic town with a designated no-car street. Great for shopping, dinning, or a casual stroll through the town.
Nevada City
Historic downtown, great for shopping, dinning, or a casual stroll.
Empire Mine State Historic Park
State Historic Park. Learn about mining history in the area or take a walk on one of their many trails.
Walk the Prop
One of our favorite things to do is wander around our property. There are several trails we're working on expanding and connecting, with the goal of having a full trail system in a few years. We'd love to show you around and share our plans for the future!
