Wedding FAQs

If you have any questions not listed here, please feel free to reach out to either Bonnee or Jonathan!
Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can conveniently RSVP here on this website! Simply follow the link labeled RSVP above, type in your name, and respond. If family or a plus one was included in your invitation, you do NOT need to type each individual name. If there is any confusion, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP no later than September 30, 2025. *Please note that this date will remain flexible for those traveling great distances to be with Bonnee and Jonathan on their special day! The couple understands that life happens and traveling across the globe is a big commitment, so, again, please feel free to reach out to either of them for any complications!

Question

What is the address of the venue?

Answer

The celebrations will be taking place at The Rummler Family Ranch, located in the Californian high desert. The address is: 9925 Fir St. Oak Hills, California 92344

Question

What is the best airport to use?

Answer

This is really up to your preferences! The nearest airport to the wedding venue is in Ontario, California. LAX, John Wayne, Long Beach, and even Las Vegas (a 2 1/2 hour drive from the venue) are also great options to consider if you are flying from within the US. Take the time to look over what flights are available where and consider things like accommodations and rental vehicles.

Question

What is the easiest way to get to and from the venue?

Answer

Oak Hills is located along the 15 freeway at the top of the Cajon Pass. Personal vehicles are the best option for reaching the venue. There will be clear directions for parking, but the couple kindly asks that you try to come in as few vehicles as possible, as parking will be limited. It is encouraged that families carpool as much as possible! Please note, also, that Bonnee's parents' home is located on an unpaved road. The dirt roads are well cared for, however, and are much easier to drive on than they look. If you are at all uncomfortable, please reach out and someone will be sent to assist you!

Question

Will the festivities take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

ALL wedding festivities will be taking place outdoors. There is a covered patio as well as a large marquee that will be used. While there is some cement and a wooden deck, guests will need to be stepping on either dirt or grass during the evening. Therefore, the couple asks that you account for this in your choice of footwear! Please note that this is also a small ranch, which means that horses, dogs, cats, and guinea pigs will be present on the property. Please be respectful of these animals (all the new noise and smells will stress them enough as it is). All animals are incredibly friendly, however! Both the dogs and horses love a friendly scratch behind the ears.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The couple is kindly asking that guests dress in semi-formal attire. Western wear such as boots, buckles, and hats are encouraged (think coastal cowboy)! Please avoid any "dusty blue" colors as this is what immediate family members and bridal party will be wearing! Bonnee has put together a Pinterest Board if you find yourself lacking for inspiration; which also includes inspiration in and out of "theme". You can find that Pinterest Board here: https://pin.it/3YM11Emox Things to consider: This time of year is typically mild in terms of weather, but may get quite chilly as the evening progresses. Therefore it is recommended to have at least a light jacket to have on hand should you need it. As previously stated, you will be outdoors and walking/dancing in different terrains. Please account for this in your choice of footwear. Boots aren't just an aesthetic choice here!

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

While the couple encourages you to keep the time and location of the event in mind, children are of course welcome! It is asked again, however, to consider both the time of events as well as the fact that wedding festivities will be taking place on a small ranch with animals. It should also be mentioned that, while not particularly common, there are some dangerous wild animals that find their way onto the property from time to time. These include rattlesnakes, coyotes, bobcats, and mountain lions. There is also an electric fence surrounding the horse pasture. This is not a place to let children go unsupervised! The couple will have a small activities table dedicated to the little ones, so that they and you can enjoy your time at the celebrations while staying close by!

Question

What type of food will be served at the wedding?

Answer

Mexican street tacos will be available from 6pm until 7:30pm. These will be served from a sort of "booth" and cooked on site. You will pick up a plate, utensils, and napkins then hop in a queue to place an "order." There are typically 3 options: carne asada (marinated steak), carnitas (pork), and pollo asada (marinated chicken). You can choose one or all three if you'd like! There will be a limited choice of toppings such as chopped onion, cilantro (coriander), and salsas at different spice levels. There will also be a Mexican style "grazing table" with a few dishes prepared by the bride and her dad! Dessert will be a self-serve s'mores bar! You'll be able to roast your marshmallows over the open fire pit on the deck and build your s'more any way you'd like. For the guests from England: s'mores are an American dessert made by roasting a marshmallow over an open flame using a roasting stick. Then the marshmallow is sandwiched in between two graham crackers (like thin cinnamon biscuits) and a piece of chocolate. Bonnee prefers hers with a Reese's thin vs a plain piece of chocolate! Americans traditionally eat these at both beach bonfires and camping trips in the American wilderness, which is why they were such a perfect choice of dessert for Bonnee and Jonathan's wedding!

Question

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

No, and the couple kindly asks that guests refrain from bringing any to the venue. Bonnee's family are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and, as such, do not consume alcohol. Because this wedding is taking place at her family home, the couple asks that the family's religious beliefs be respected and honored. This is probably outside the norm for a lot of guests, but please know that one of the best parts of any wedding/marriage is the joining of two different people with different cultures, backgrounds, and traditions. Alcohol will not be needed to celebrate that union.

Question

What time will festivities end?

Answer

While there's no time constraint on leaving the venue, Bonnee and Jonathan will be making their exit around 10:30/11pm and kindly ask that you make your way to your various destinations soon after!

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at the wedding?

Answer

Yes! There will be a QR code available for guests to digitally upload any photos or videos to a shared wedding album that all can enjoy. Take as many selfies, group, and action shots as you'd like at the reception! That being said, if you are a guest attending the ceremony, then the couple kindly asks that you unplug and allow Candise (the amazing photographer) to do what she does best. Bonnee and Jonathan would like the ceremony to be as intimate and calm as possible; they will be sharing their vows in front of their closest family and friends, and that's nerve-wracking enough without the presence of 80 phone cameras and livestreams! They love you, and kindly ask that you allow them to keep this part of the wedding private!
