Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

The last of the great seaside amusement parks remaining in the United States and home to two National Historic Landmarks – the 1911 Looff Carousel and 1924 Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster. Entry to the boardwalk is free, with easy access to the beach. The indoor arcades offer an incredible selection of arcade games, pinball machines, vintage games, two-story miniature golf course, and laser tag. Many people visit just for the food, like corn dogs, deep fried artichokes, clam chowder and more!

Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park

Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park preserves a 40-acre old-growth redwood grove. On this 0.8-mile (1.2km) flat loop trail, you will discover the survival adaptation of the coast redwood and the inspiration this grove holds that led to its protection. The largest tree is approximately 277 feet tall and about 1,500 years old. Take a flashlight and step inside the famous Fremont Tree. There’s room for the whole family!

Mystery Spot Road

The Mystery Spot is a gravitational anomaly located in the redwood forests just outside of Santa Cruz, California. It is a circular area of effect around 150 feet in diameter. Within the Mystery Spot you will be stunned as your perceptions of the laws of physics and gravity are questioned.
