Hotel
We’ve reserved a room block at Cloudland at the McLemore Resort because it’s the most convenient and stunning option: it’s right on-site, just steps from our ceremony, and perfect for making the weekend as seamless as possible. Cloudland isn’t just convenient, it’s a vibe. It’s a fun golf cart ride to and from the ceremony, and in addition to the stunning endless heated pool, it serves the best piña coladas *the bride* has ever had. And that’s saying a lot because she’s had handmade, oceanside piña coladas served in a pineapple in Cuba. The groom approves too. Between the breathtaking mountain views, the hiking trails, spa options, and the ease of being on-site, we can’t recommend staying here enough! Plus, it’s where the buses will pick up and drop off for the welcome event at Camp Laney and where we’ll be staying, so if you want to maximize time with us, this is the place to be.

Travel Note
If you’re anything like the groom and despise traffic with a burning passion (looking at you, Atlanta), Chattanooga Airport is the way to go. It’s small, scenic, and stress-free; just how he likes it. Yes, you’ll probably have a connection, but the upside? You’ll breeze through security, be in and out in no time, and the resort is just a quick 30-minute drive away. The groom swears by this route because it lets him completely avoid the chaos of merging highways and the sheer madness of Atlanta traffic. Plus, Chattanooga is charming *just like him* and lets you start the weekend on a chill note. A groom-approved travel plan if there ever was one!
Travel Note
If you’re anything like the bride and believe that connecting flights are the ninth circle of hell, Atlanta is your best bet. It’s one of the most connected airports in the world, so you can almost always find a direct flight, and bonus, it’s usually cheaper than Chattanooga! Sure, it’s a two-hour drive to McLemore, and yes, the highways around Atlanta are a *bit* chaotic, but if the bride can handle it (armed with coffee, the podcast How I Built This on repeat, and her stubborn determination to avoid layovers at all costs), so can you. Plus, think of it as an adventure; one with fewer plane pretzels and more scenic mountain views at the end!
Travel Note
And if you’re like neither the bride nor the groom (a rare breed, but we respect it), another option is to fly into Nashville. Can you hear the groom snicker? *Why would anyone do that?!* It’s about a two-and-a-half-hour drive to McLemore, but if you’ve never been, it’s the perfect excuse to tack on an extra day before or after the wedding to explore. Hit Broadway and eat some hot chicken. Just think of it as a little pre- or post-wedding adventure, because why not?
Travel Note
Okay, sorry guys. Here’s the disappointing part: there’s no getting around renting a car. There is no lift service. We’re *those* people who live in the middle of freaking nowhere. And when I say nowhere, I mean Mentone, Alabama, a town so small the population is *allegedly* 300-something. The groom swears it’s closer to 400, but the bride is sure he’s sucking up to his father, the Mayor of Mentone. The upside? It’s paradise in the mountains and absolutely worth it. Trust me, it won’t disappoint. To put it in perspective, when we were traveling abroad with all the bride’s friends who live in glamorous places like Ireland and Croatia, they asked the groom where his favorite place in the world was. Without hesitation, he said, “Mentone, Alabama.” So, you’re welcome—and welcome! Now, go rent a car.
