Question

How do I come see camp?

Answer

Make sure you don’t miss the Friday Welcome Party! We’ll be hiring transportation from the resort to Camp for dinner and a campfire. It’s a chance to hang out, relax, and enjoy our home. Don’t miss it!

Question

Will there be transportation to and from the Welcome Party at camp?

Answer

Yes! We will provide transportation from the resort to Camp for the Friday Welcome Party and back to the resort afterward. So, relax and enjoy the evening with us worry-free!

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. We encourage guests embrace a green theme for our special day! Women, please consider wearing a green cocktail dress (any length is good!), and men, feel free to add a pop of green with a tie or bowtie. Women should opt for tea-length, knee-length, or midi dresses, though long dresses are absolutely welcome as well! The bride also encourages fascinators for an extra touch of fun and flair (you know you’ve always wanted an excuse to wear one). For men suits and ties/bow ties are required. Think polished, not black tie formal! Keep in mind that the wedding is in September on the brow of lookout mountain, so bring a warm layer when the evening cools down.

Question

What are fascinators?

Answer

Fascinators are those fabulous little headpieces you’ve probably seen at royal weddings or fancy horse races. Think of them as the fun, slightly extra cousin of hats: small, stylish, and designed to make you feel like a queen. Why wear one? Because when else do you get to? The bride is pro-fascinator and promises it’ll make for some amazing photos. Bonus: they’re great conversation starters and an excellent way to make sure no one forgets who you are.

Question

What’s the best way to get to the wedding?

Answer

When flying, the nearest airports are Chattanooga (about 45 minutes away), Atlanta (about 2 hours), or Nashville (just under 2.5 hours). Once you arrive, please rent a car; it’s the only way to get around this remote area.

Question

What’s the weather like in September?

Answer

Expect warm days and cooler evenings, perfect for a mountain wedding! We recommend a scarf or wrap if you tend to get chilly after sunset.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration. Take this as your chance to have a fun, kid-free weekend with us!

Question

What meals will be provided?

Answer

In addition to the wedding dinner and late night snack on Saturday, we’ll be hosting the Friday Welcome Party at Camp (with dinner and a campfire). Otherwise, meals will be on your own, but there are lots of great dining options at the resort or nearby. Check out our “Things to Do” section for recommendations!

Question

Are there activities for the weekend?

Answer

Whether you’re up for exploring or just want to relax, we’ve got you covered. For those staying at the resort, we recommend taking full advantage of what it has to offer: hikes with breathtaking views, a serene spa, an incredible endless pool, and a top-notch golf course. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just looking to try something new, hitting the links with those views is a must. If you’re feeling more adventurous, we’ve put together a list of our favorite activities nearby, like hiking Cloudland Canyon, exploring the charming town of Mentone, or spending a day in Chattanooga. Check out the “Things to Do” section for all the details!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying at the resort, where we have a room block reserved for our guests. There are also some cute rentals nearby if you prefer a cabin, but please be aware that you will have to drive to and from the ceremony.

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

The Friday Welcome Party will feature beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options to keep things casual. At the wedding reception, we’ll have a full open bar with plenty of non-alcoholic beverages as well; so everyone can join in the celebration, no matter their preference!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible to give us the time we need to plan all the details. The final deadline is **August 20**, but we’d really appreciate it if you could let us know as soon as you make your travel plans. The earlier, the better. Thank you for helping us make this day amazing!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Instead of traditional gifts, we’re asking for contributions to our Newlywed Fund linked on this website under registry. This will help us get started in our new home and make our honeymoon a reality, wherever we decide to go! Your support means the world to us, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Question

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be held outside on the brow of a mountain with breathtaking views. There will be a tent over the tables during the reception to keep everyone comfortable, but you’ll still get to enjoy the gorgeous outdoor setting.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5 PM sharp, so please be in your seats before then. We recommend being seated by 4:45 PM to ensure everything starts smoothly. Doors open at 4:30 PM.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know about any food allergies or dietary preferences when you RSVP. While there is a set menu, the chef is happy to accommodate needs like vegetarian, pescatarian, or other restrictions. Just make sure to share those details with us!
