A popular tourist attraction in the area; with a huge selection of cheese, meats, crackers, dips, spreads, homemade fudge, candy and homemade ice-cream. The best part is you can ask for a sample of anything and try as much as you want! They sell Amish goods and gifts as well. Victor and I recommend the Marshmallow fluff fudge!
A popular coffee shop in town! If you like finding hipster coffee shops when you travel or just want to try a coffee that isn't just Starbucks or Dunkin' this is the place for you. Its actually connected to a flower shop (the florist that victor and I are using for our wedding) and Victor and I met with our florist in this coffee shop. The staff is super friendly and welcoming and the coffee is delicious. They serve food as well if you are hungry. Sit down and enjoy a meal with your coffee or get a coffee to go while you sip and shop at the floral/gift shop next door.
A Floral and gift shop that's connected to the popular coffee spot: Downtown Perk. We are actually using this place for the florals for our wedding! Get a coffee next door and sip and shop their gifts and goods. The owner is super friendly and chatty and knows everyone and everything about Ashland. She was basically our tour guide when we visited and pointed us in the right direction of places to go and what's good.
At the recommendation of our florist, Victor and I stopped here for lunch when we visited. Everything is made from scratch and is delicious! You can also look around and shop; even the pictures on the wall are for sale! They also have a bakery section up front; Victor and I recommend the chocolate cake slice. Big enough for multiple people and so moist!
About a 30min. drive from Ashland with beautiful scenery and tons to do. Camping, cabins, kayaking, hiking, etc. Home to the popular Mohican Treehouses and luxury hotel: Landoll's Mohican Castle. Victor and I have been to a wedding at the castle and it was beautiful. And we also drove down there to check out a possible wedding venue for ourselves. The drive was lovely!
A popular restaurant right in the heart of Ashland with an elevated casual atmosphere. Steaks, seafood, hand pattied burgers, vegetarian options, salads, and a huge kids selection are some things you will find on their menu. They have won many awards for their food and have a big outdoor patio featuring live music some nights. Victor and McKenzie are considering this place to host their rehearsal dinner. McKenzie recommends the "Steak Bombs".
Candy, nuts, icecream, chocolate and more! Check out their "Grown ups only" menu and try one of their boozy milkshakes. They also offer seasonal gourmet chocolate covered candy apples; available only during the months of September and October.
