Shenandoah National Park
Take a drive on the beautiful Skyline Drive to see the foliage (very popular this time of year -- expect traffic!) Or park and go for a hike in the National Park! Shenandoah is one of our very favorite places in the area :)
Local Vineyards, Cideries, Breweries and Distilleries
Check out the list of local vineyards and breweries at this website- we're not claiming that they're on par with Napa Valley, but hey. Welcome to Virginia! A couple of our favorites are Barrel Oak Winery (Delaplane), Bluemont Vineyard (Bluemont), Dirt Farm Brewery (Bluemont), Corcoran Cidery (Waterford) and Catoctin Creek Distillery (Purceville)
Luray Caverns
Check out Luray Caverns, the largest caverns in the eastern United States! Tours along lighted, paved walkways lead visitors through cathedral-sized rooms with ceilings 10-stories high, towering stone formations, and natural wonders at every turn.
