***We are asking guests to take a COVID test prior to attending our wedding*** In an effort to create a safe environment at our upcoming celebration, we ask that you obtain a PCR test (preferably) or Antigen test (alternatively) before you travel, and ideally within a week of the wedding.   We recommend that you make arrangements as soon as possible and treat it as part of your travel plans.   *We will follow up with additional information as we get closer to the date including how to confirm your negative test results before you attend the wedding. **If you plan to get a test done in the DC or Virginia area we can help you identify available options.  ***If there are special circumstances that make getting a test done shortly before the wedding difficult please contact us right away. Thanks for your understanding and for taking responsibility along with us to make this joyous occasion a safe and memorable one.

Can I bring my kids?

We love kids and wish we could welcome them all! But, unfortunately, we have limited capacity :( We’ve invited our families to bring children, but are asking friends to celebrate with us without kids in tow. Please reach out to us if you need to bring your kiddos along. Thanks for understanding!

Can I Bring a Date?

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

How do I choose a cabin?

Answer

There are cabins at Shenandoah Woods, Hawksbill Retreat and Absolute Perfect Escape, plus others listed on Airbnb and VRBO. Most have multiple rooms, so we recommend coordinating with other guests to be as efficient as possible. ***We recommend booking accommodations as early as possible, due to the popularity of the area during fall foliage season in October***. If you'd like recommendations on other guests to coordinate with, don't hesitate to ask the bride or groom. We've also added a list of accommodations - including hotels - on the Travel section of the website to help you in finding the right place!

Do I Need Provisions?

If you're staying at one of the cabins, we recommend stopping at a grocery store on the way in to get some provisions. The cabins have fully equipped kitchens - all you need to do is stock them to your liking.

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

All events will be outdoors. We want you to be comfortable, so wear what you like - October in Virginia can be warm by day but chilly at night, so we recommend layers!

Who should I contact about dietary restrictions?

Answer

The buffet menu is both vegetarian and carnivore friendly, but if you have other dietary restrictions, please email the bride or groom.
