We’re getting married!

It all started on Katie’s 21st birthday at the most romantic and coziest bar in West Chester, PA - little dive bar called Jake’s. Katie was rocking a sling from a recent elbow surgery, a true style icon, and Michael was there with his friends. Katie's brothers, Chris and Mike, who just so happened to be fraternity brothers with Michael, decided to take Katie out for her 21st after feeling bad she had to spend her birthday recovering from elbow surgery. They saw their friend Michael (or, as he was formally known as at the time, Mike Fresh) at Jake's Bar and introduced him to Katie. A few drinks, some laughs, and one perfectly timed “Hey, I know your brothers!” later, Katie and Michael were talking like they'd known each other for years. When Katie and her brothers decided to head to another bar, Michael ditched his friends and followed, saying "Sorry guys, but I can't let her go!" It was one of those moments in life when you just know. Katie and Michael ended up talking the whole night, totally wrapped up in each other, and somewhere in between sharing stories and smiles, Michael stole a kiss. What followed was a little over a year of dates and a few “what are we doing?” moments before the two finally decided to make it official. And from that moment on, it’s been Katie and Michael—best friends, partners, companions through everything. Over the last decade, they've lived in five cities, two states, and survived stints living with both sets of parents. They've weathered a novel global pandemic, adopted the most beautiful, sassy and sweet cat-daughter Boogie, and built a beautiful life that feels just right—because Katie and Michael are more than just soul mates; they are best friends. On December 31st, 2023, or as Katie loves to point out, 12/31/23 (123123!!) Michael popped the question, and the easiest “yes” of Katie’s life became the start of their forever. We can’t wait to celebrate with all the people who’ve been part of our story so far, as we start this exciting new chapter—together!
