To make sure everyone can celebrate safely, we are providing a complimentary shuttle to and from the wedding! Pickup Location: Clarion Pointe Sylva near Cherokee Area 2807 U.S. 74, Sylva, NC 28779 Schedule: 3:55pm - Shuttle departs from the Clarion Pointe 4:10pm - Shuttle drops off at the venue ---CEREMONY/RECEPTION--- 10:15pm - Pick up #1 from venue 11:15pm - Pick up #2 from venue 11:45pm - Rest of bridal party pick up from venue Staying elsewhere? You are still more than welcome to catch a ride! We recommend parking your car at the Clarion Poine and hopping on the shuttle from there.

For our guests traveling by RV or looking for a more 'outdoor' mountain experience! Holly Cove is located right in Whittier and offers full hookups and great mountain shade. A perfect way to enjoy the June weather in NC.

Flight

Asheville (AVL)

The closest airport to our wedding festivities is Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), located about 60 miles (roughly a 1-hour drive) from Whittier. While it’s a smaller airport, it is serviced by American, Delta, United, and Allegiant. Once you land, we highly recommend renting a car, as rideshares like Uber and Lyft are readily available at the airport but can be very difficult to find once you get out toward the mountains. The drive from AVL to Whittier is a beautiful one—get ready for some scenic views! Drive Time: ~ 1 hour to Whittier, NC

Flight

Charlotte Douglas International (CLT)

Charlotte is the major international hub for the region. If you are flying from the West Coast or looking for the most flight options, this is likely your best bet. Since it’s a 3-hour drive, we recommend landing before 4:00 PM on Friday to avoid city traffic and enjoy the scenic mountain views as you head west on I-85 and I-40. Rental car options are plentiful here, and the rates are often the most competitive! Drive Time: ~ 3 hours to Whittier, NC

McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS - Knoxville)

Located just south of Knoxville, TN, TYS is a fantastic alternative to Asheville. It’s a smaller, low-stress airport that often has great connections through Dallas, Atlanta, or Charlotte. Drive Time: ~ 1 hour 45 minutes to Whittier, NC

Road Note

A heads-up for our out-of-towners: The drive to Whittier and our venue involves some winding mountain roads. We recommend arriving while it’s still light out on Friday to get your bearings. Also, GPS can be a little 'creative' in the mountains—we recommend downloading offline maps on Google Maps just in case you lose service!
