Deep Creek Trailhead (Nature/Outdoors)
A must-visit in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! This is an easy-to-moderate trail where you can see three beautiful waterfalls (Tom Branch, Indian Creek, and Juney Whank) in a short loop. It's also a famous spot for tubing down the river if you're feeling adventurous!
Innovation Station (Brewery/Social)
Located in a historic train depot right on the tracks, this is our favorite spot for a craft beer or ginger ale. They have a huge covered patio and creekside seating. You can watch the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad train pull right up to the station while you hang out!
Historic Jackson County Courthouse (Sightseeing/Shopping)
The most photographed courthouse in North Carolina! Climb the 107 steps for a panoramic view of downtown Sylva. Afterward, walk down Main Street to explore local bookstores (like City Lights), antique shops, and cute boutiques.
White Moon & Dark Moon (Coffee/Cocktails)
The top pick for breakfast and caffeine! By day, it’s a bright cafe with incredible 'Egg Sammies' and lox bagels. By night, it transforms into 'Dark Moon,' a cozy speakeasy-style bar with the best craft cocktails in town.
Haywood Smokehouse (Food/BBQ)
If you like BBQ, this is the place. It’s consistently ranked as some of the best in the state. We highly recommend the brisket or the 'Texas Two-Step' sandwich. It’s casual, quick, and very close to the guest hotels!
