We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting Semi-Formal attire. For Men: A suit and tie or a sport coat with dress pants. (No tuxedos required!) For Women: A cocktail dress, a dressy jumpsuit, or a midi/maxi dress. June in Whittier is beautiful, but the temperature can drop quickly once the sun goes behind the mountains. We recommend bringing a light jacket or a shawl to stay cozy during the reception.
We want everyone to celebrate safely! We will be providing a complimentary shuttle service for our guests. The shuttle will pick up and drop off at our partner hotels in the local area (we will update it when we know which hotels it will go to).
After we have all the locations of where guests are staying we will decide on pick up locations to maximize the shuttle service. Please check back here closer to the wedding date or keep an eye on this website for a final schedule!
Absolutely! While the shuttle only stops at the main hotel locations in Sylva, any guest is welcome to park at the hotel and hop on the shuttle from there.
Yes, there is plenty of parking at the venue if you prefer to drive yourself. We just ask that you have a designated driver, as mountain roads can be tricky at night!
Unfortunately, no overnight parking is permitted at The Parker Mill. To ensure everyone gets home safely and avoids any towing issues, we highly recommend taking the complimentary shuttle from the hotels.
The Parker Mill is tucked away in a beautiful spot in the Smokies! Please note that while the venue is only a mile off Highway 74, the final road leading up to it is gravel, narrow, and curvy. We recommend taking it slow and enjoying the views. If you’d prefer to skip the mountain driving entirely, we highly encourage you to hop on our complimentary shuttle from the Sylva hotels!
No need to worry! The Parker Mill is perfectly designed for mountain weather. Our ceremony site is fully covered, and the dinner and reception will be held indoors. We'll be celebrating comfortably, rain or shine!
Yes, please bring them! When putting together our guest list, we only included children in the RSVP count if they will be needing their own dedicated meal and chair. Infants and toddlers sitting on laps or eating from your plate are totally welcome. (Optional add-on: Please just shoot us a quick text to let us know they are coming so we can ensure there's enough space for strollers at your table!)
