Liz and Melinda met each other when they lived in the same neighborhood, went to the same elementary school in first grade and have been best friends ever since. Some of Liz's favorite memories with the Gibson's are putting Melinda's little brother's diapers on her teddy bears, learning to eat canned oysters on crackers with hot sauce, and getting to stay up late during sleepovers to watch Melinda's dad arrest bad guys on Cops. Liz would consider Melinda's mom, Susie, like her own mom and consider's Melinda to be more like a sister. Liz was honored to be Melinda's maid of honor for her wedding and now she has the pleasure of extending the same honor to Melinda. Liz couldn't imagine anyone else by her side on the big day!
Rob Cartwright
Best Man
Blake first met Rob when his family moved into the Huntington neighborhood when the boys were about four years old. Like a welcoming brigade, the Cartwright's came riding in on their bikes to meet the Johnsons and right then and there a new family friendship was born. Blake shares many fun memories with Rob, from playing in the neighborhood as kids to memorable moments now as an adult, like music festivals, trips to Europe, as well as having the honor of being Rob's best man for his recent wedding in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC. So many happy moments seeded in Blake's childhood experiences while living in Huntington and some of those at the Cartwright's family Huntington home, the same family home (so generously) hosting Liz and Blake's wedding in April.
