Mall of America®
If you’re flying in and out of MSP and have some time to spare, Mall of America is a great place to go! There’s tons of shops, restaurants, and attractions to see inside. You can take the Light Rail to and from the airport and can also get there via rideshare. If you are renting a car, there’s plenty of free parking attached to the mall.
Lake Harriet Bandshell Park
If the weather is nice, we recommend stopping by Lake Harriet! This is the location of our first date. We had lunch at Bread & Pickle and rented kayaks. They have a nice beach, kayak and paddle board rentals, a beachside walk-up restaurant, a walking and biking path that wraps around the lake, and a bandshell that has music and events.
Stillwater
Stillwater is a cute town with bars, restaurants, shops, entertainment, and outdoor activities right on the St, Croix River. It is close to the venue and both hotel blocks!
Taylors Falls & St. Croix Falls
Taylor’s Falls and St. Croix Falls are other cute towns with lots to do. Interstate State Park is a great area to hike and explore. The St. Croix River is what separates the two towns! Beautiful scenery every time of year, especially in the Fall :)
Rustic Roots Winery
Rustic Roots is a fun winery in Scandia, MN. It has great wine and food options, lots of space to roam, and events on certain days. It is relatively close to the hotel blocks and venue!
Aamodt's Apple Farm
Great place to spend an afternoon or even a day! Pick your own apples, see farm animals, grab some hard cider at Thors or some wine at St Croix Vineyards.
