We're getting married!

In April 2018, Janelle was working as a flight attendant on a flight from Los Angeles to Minneapolis. The plane was unable to land in Minneapolis due to a snow storm and diverted to Fargo. Upon arrival into Fargo, the tarmac was so busy because of all the other diversions. The gates were full and many planes, including Janelle’s, had to park on the tarmac until they heard more news on the status on the Minneapolis airport. The ramp agents were running from plane to plane to check in on the customers and crew. A few ramp agents brought air stairs to Janelle’s plane and opened the forward door. Taylor was one of the agents! Janelle thought he was so cute and tried talked to him, but he was focused on all his work. Janelle’s crew ended up staying the night in Fargo due to the weather continuing in Minneapolis, and as she left the airport to go to the layover hotel, she thought she wouldn’t see him again. In the morning, Janelle and her crew returned to the airport to complete their flight back home to Minneapolis. As she walked up to the gate, Taylor was standing behind the podium! After Janelle got on the plane, she whispered to her crew how this was fate and that she wanted to give him her phone number. She grabbed a napkin from the beverage cart kit, wrote down her name and phone number, and gave it to him before they closed the plane door to depart. They started dating shortly afterwards and took turns seeing each other between Minneapolis and Fargo. They moved to Detroit together and were there for a few years with their dogs Oakley and Millie. They then experienced long distance with Janelle working back in Minneapolis and then to Atlanta. In January 2023, Taylor and Janelle were finally reunited in Atlanta, and so were the dogs!

Taylor and Janelle went back to spend time with friends in Detroit on December 8th, 2023. On the evening of December 9th, Janelle and Taylor went to downtown Detroit to see the Christmas lights, walk around the Christmas market, and to hangout at Cadillac Lodge - or so Janelle thought! As they were walking around the Christmas Tree, Taylor said they had to go! He said they had a reservation at a restaurant nearby. They hustled to the restaurant and enjoyed a fancy meal with fancy drinks. Afterwards, Taylor’s friends met up with them around an area where there were lighted garland arches. Their friends asked them to take a photo of them under the arches, and then asked if Janelle and Taylor wanted a photo. After the photos were taken, Janelle went to go check them out on her phone to make sure they were good ones, and she asked for a few more. When Janelle turned around, Taylor was on his knee smiling the biggest smile! All of their Detroit friends came out from hiding with champagne, flowers, and cameras! Janelle of course said YES and they spent the rest of the night with friends out celebrating. It was the best night!
