If you plan to explore Rocky Mountain National Park during our wedding weekend, you’ll need a timed entry reservation. When to Book: Reservations for September visits open on August 1, 2025 at Recreation.gov. Time slots go fast, so we recommend setting a reminder to book early! Types of Passes: Timed Entry + Bear Lake Road (5 a.m.–6 p.m.): Includes access to Bear Lake Road (home to a stunning and highly recommended hike) and the rest of the park. Timed Entry (9 a.m.–2 p.m.): Covers all areas except Bear Lake Road. If available, aim for the + Bear Lake Road option—but if that’s full, grabbing any reservation is still worth it so you don’t miss out on visiting the park! Each pass allows entry within a 2-hour window; there’s no limit on how long you can stay after entering. No Pass? No Problem: If you don’t get a reservation, you still have a few options. Click the link below to see alternative options (ie shuttle).

We have two go-to spots for a great morning coffee/tea: Kind Coffee – A local staple! Grab your drink, and relax by the river out back. Inkwell & Brew – Cozy and charming, with a curated shop inside and another lovely outdoor seating area to enjoy your brew.
A few of our local favorites: The Barrel – A laid-back beer garden with rotating taps, food trucks, and mountain views. Great for a casual drink or bite in the sun. Ed’s Cantina – A lively spot downtown with delicious margaritas and tasty Mexican. Perfect for a casual dinner or quick lunch between adventures. Bird & Jim – Mountain dining with local ingredients and great views. Great spot for a sit-down dinner after a full day of exploring.
