Below are a few hotels in Downtown & South Austin. Most are a few blocks walk or a quick Lyft from where the wedding shuttle will be picking up at the Texas Capitol. All are located in the heart of the city, where you'll be surrounded by the music, food and nightlife that made Austin one of the fastest growing and most popular cities in America. Air Bnb is also an option in Austin, though unless you're looking for a big group of people hotels may be cheaper and more convenient. If you're looking for great Austin neighborhoods to stay in and you'll be renting a car or taking Lyfts, Bianca's favorites are South Lamar, Barton Springs, Travis Heights, Clarksville, East Austin and Hyde Park. If you're renting a car and not necessarily interested in Austin nightlife, look for houses on Lake Travis, about 45 minutes from Downtown Austin.

This hotel is walking distance to all Downtown Austin has to offer- including the Texas Capitol which is where the wedding shuttle will be departing from on Sunday morning!

Tommie Austin - JDV by Hyatt
This is one of 3 different Hyatt properties in Downtown Austin. tommie is a modern and bougie so, of course, Bianca is listing this one. The other Hyatt properties have slightly higher ratings and prices, but all are prime locations. Hyatt Place Downtown Austin (512.476.4440) is closer to the river and Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue (747.257.1234) is closer to the Texas Capitol.

The Driskill
The Driskell is the most famous hotel in Austin. Located in the heart of “Dirty 6th”, this historic landmark is a totally-Austin experience, smushing traditional Texas aesthetic next to some wild times nightlife. Even if you don’t stay here, stroll through the hotel and get a drink at their bar among the rustic railroad ties, leather everything and cow hides.

Austin Motel
Austin Motel is located south of Downtown Austin across the river in a neighborhood nicknamed SoCo (South Congress). Bianca went to middle school in this neighborhood before it became the shopping and eating destination it is today, and it remains one of her favorite areas. The Austin Motel embodies South Austin quirk and charm.

The shuttle will pick guests up from the East side of the Texas Capitol Building on Brazos St and 13th St. There are many parking garages nearby and street parking is free on Sundays. If you ride share, have the service take you to Brazos St & 13th St. There will be a 1p shuttle at the marina to pick up any guests needing to return to town immediately following the ceremony. After the lake party, the shuttle will return guests to the Capitol.
