Bianca was rushing through the golf course on her beverage cart during an early morning golf tournament. As she approached Hole 13, Bianca saw no golfers- just the vendor (Chris) who’d sponsored the hole- so she didn’t slow down as she called out, “Need anything?” Chris raised his hand to stop her: “Yes!!” Bianca stopped short with a flicker of annoyance. Chris continued with a smile: “I need to know your name.” Taken off guard, Bianca couldn’t help but smile back and half-roll her eyes: Okay, smooth, she thought.

Bianca never ever EVER wanted to be married. The weekend that Princeton, Chris’ grandson, was born she changed her mind. Chris & Bianca went to breakfast on August 14 as they waited for Princeton to arrive, and Bianca couldn’t help blurting out how she could see them married someday. Chris’ mind was, understandably, on his daughter and grandson and his response was, “Let’s see how things go.” Waiting is not Bianca’s style when she knows what she wants. She asked Emma & Vera, Chris’ daughters, for their blessing (and got it!) and bought a cheap ring off Etsy. Bianca’s plan was to slip the ring on Chris’ finger as she massaged his hand, which is something she does when they watch TV together. She was nervous, and is directionally challenged, so as they laid on their bedroom floor and analyzed the season finale of The Rehearsal (highly recommend!) Bianca slid the ring on his wrong hand as she word vomited her proposal. Shocked and confused, Chris didn’t answer right away but Bianca knew it was a yes. Still, she badgered a solid YES out of him before they went to sleep that night, and a few more times over the ensuing weeks and months just to be sure.
