Entry Requirements PASSPORT A valid passport that expires no less than 6 months from departure (e.g., passport expiration date should be no sooner than December 2024 if traveling in July 2025). TRAVEL VISA A travel entry visa is required for all visitors. A hard-copy of the visa application, your original passport, 2 passport-size photos, a travel itinerary, along with receipts for the application fee and return postage must be mailed to the Embassy of Ghana in Washington, D.C. Please note that a standard application will take 15-20 business days from receipt of a hardcopy of the application. The processing period for rush applications is 7 business days. VACCINATIONS Proof of yellow fever vaccination is required. Search for a local yellow fever vaccine clinic using this link https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/yellow-fever-vaccination-clinics/search *If you previously received the yellow fever vaccine, you don't need to be vaccinated again as long as you have proof of immunization. Side note: While not mandatory, we recommend obtaining a prescription for anti-malaria. If you would like this, please let us know and we can have it available for you upon arrival. CURRENCY Ghana is a cash economy. The local currency is cedis. We recommend converting U.S. dollars once you arrive. (1 USD = 15.88cedis subject to change)

Search for the app in your smartphone's app store and download app. Taxis Taxis are everywhere in Accra. You can recognize them by the yellow color on each side.
