Yes. We are asking each of our guests to get a COVID test before they come to the wedding. We recommend getting a PCR test 3-4 days before the wedding (on Tuesday, Dec. 15 or Wednesday Dec. 16) so that everyone can arrive COVID-negative. This is the best way to ensure that everyone is safe. If you have any questions about getting your COVID test, reach out to Bethany or Logan as soon as possible.
In addition to asking our guests to get a negative COVID-19 test before coming, we will ensure that safety precautions are taken throughout the venue to minimize the risk of potential COVID-19 exposure. Guests will bring masks to wear, but we will also provide additional masks for any guests who may need one along with offering hand-sanitizing stations. The venue staff will take utmost sanitary precautions while serving dinner during the reception. We also ask that if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 (such as fever, respiratory illness, or generally feeling sick) that you join us online instead. (Even with all these precautions, we know it'll still be a blast!)
We are asking guests to bring masks to wear. If you have a favorite mask or one you are most comfortable with, bring it! If you forget to bring one on the wedding day, then we will offer extra masks upon arrival.
Yes! Though we would absolutely love to have you join us in person to celebrate the uniting of our lives in marriage, please know that there is absolutely no pressure to attend, and we respect if you need to make the difficult decision to not attend in person. If this is the case, we hope that you will be able to attend online via YouTube Live for the ceremony! We will send out an email with the livestream link the week of the wedding.
RSVPs will be final after December 4th. This is the weekend we are communicating our final guest count to our venue coordinator. (Got to make sure to get the right amount of food!) If you have any questions or concerns about your RSVP, please feel free to reach out to us.
We recognize that these are unprecedented times for wedding planning in the midst of all that is going on. We have remained prayerful and open-minded during our wedding planning process. Although going forward with our plans is necessary, there are still certain unknowns around COVID-19. Therefore, we reserve the right as the couple to make changes to plans to best fit the needs of the situation, whatever that may entail (at the worst, reducing the guest count). We will be sure to post any relevant updates onto our website in a timely fashion to communicate with guests. Some things are for certain though: we are getting married December 19, 2020, and we are committed to using our venue! And for that we are grateful. We are also hopeful that all other wedding plans will be relatively smooth from here on out.
Parking for the ceremony and reception is at the same location, right outside of the Amber Grove wedding venue along both sides of the long gravel driveway in the grass.
We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes early to the ceremony, at approximately 3:15pm, so the ceremony can begin at 3:30pm on the day of the wedding. This will allow time for you to find parking and arrive in the ceremony space.
Attire is semi-formal, so wear something nice! It is December, so you may want to dress warmly. However, there is indoor heating provided in both the ceremony and reception spaces.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate additional plus-one's to our guest list since extensive cuts already had to be made.
We currently do not have the capacity for young children at the wedding unless they are specifically part of the ceremony, or are family of the bride or groom.
YES!! We are registered at Target and at Bed, Bath & Beyond! We also have a Honeymoon fund set up through Zola. Please see our "Registry" tab for more information!
