Saugatuck Chain Ferry

The Saugatuck Chain Ferry is a historic hand-cranked ferry that crosses the Kalamazoo River in Saugatuck, Michigan. Operating for well over a century, it provides a short but memorable connection between downtown Saugatuck and attractions on the river's opposite bank, including Mount Baldhead Park and routes leading toward Oval Beach. It is widely recognized as one of the last operational hand-powered chain ferries in the United States.
