Stoney Creek Golf Course
This course is operated by Wintergreen Resort and has a restaurant. It is right off Wintergreen Resort property and is three 9 hole courses. We will likely be having a tournament here...more details to come!
Devils Knob Golf Course
This is the private golf course and clubhouse of Wintergreen Resort. By booking through our wedding party, guests do have access to book tee times or dine at the Devils Knob Grill.
Wintergarden Pool & Spa
Need to sweat or relax it out, head to The Spa at Wintergreen Resort: Wintergarden Pool and Spa. There's everything from facials and massages to the sauna, indoor pool and outdoor hot tubs to enjoy. Jesse and I enjoyed a chill day at an outdoor hot tub with a drink and books.
Wintergreen Resort - Ninja Course, Mini Putt, Disc Golf, Rock Climbing
Enjoy the Discovery Center with the indoor ninja course, outdoor mini putt, climbing wall and disc golf.
Racquet Sports at Wintergreen Resort
There are indoor and outdoor tennis and pickle ball courts at Wintergreen Resort. By booking through our wedding party, you can utilize this amenity.
Hike Wintergreen
Wintergreen Resort has numerous trails for all levels! Jesse and Bethany even got her parents out for a hike. Enjoy the mountains and get outside.
Humpback Rocks Trailhead Parking
If you're up for a sunrise hike or just a fun hike in general, you'll want to do Humpback Rocks Trail! This is where the picture from our Save the Dates came from as we did this as a sunrise hike. Once you get to the top, the views are beautiful as you see the surrounding mountains and city. The trailhead is about a 15-20 minute drive from Wintergreen Resort, but you can stop at the many beautiful overlooks on the way back. We also connected this hike to the Appalachian Trail to head back to our vehicle. All together it took us about 2 hours of moving time, but we did relax and enjoy the view.
Crabtree Falls
We went on this hike one year (10/10/24) exactly from the day we will get married! There is a lower level falls area which is a paved path to see, but if you're up for a challenge continue on. Your thighs and calves will be on fire as this is an upwards hike like you are walking up stairs. You will need to stay on the path and use the handrails as needed, but the waterfalls are GORGEOUS! When you make it to the top, you won't regret it. T
Ravens Roost Overlook
Ravens Roost Overlook is by far the BEST overlook. Even the locals say so!
Black Bear Creamery
This is a local ice cream shop. We love our ice cream so we had to stop by with Bethany's mom and step dad. They even have ice cream flights!
Devils Backbone Camp
This is a short drive off of Wintergreen Resort! During this time of year, they are celebrating Oktoberfest. There's activities galore, a traditional bar, and even a cigar and bourbon room.
Blue Toad Hard Cider
Jesse and I stopped at Hard Toad on our way back to the Resort. They have a cute distillery and serve flights in muffin tins. They have a big fall festival with a day and night corn maze, private fire pits, pumpkin patch, pony rides, food trucks and games.
Bold Rock Nellysford Cidery
Bold Rock is an amazing cidery but also has a distillery and outdoor space! In October 2024, they were also showing outside movies in the grassy patch. Dine inside or out, but you won't be disappointed.
Three Notch'd Brewery, Distillery & Craft Kitchen - Nelson County
Three Notch'd is right next to Black Bear Creamery with an awesome indoor and outdoor area. This is also where we found out great news that I (Bethany) was going to become a Thea Bee, thanks to my cuz Tim and his wife Taylor!
