Our Wedding Crew

Megan Blosser

Matron of Honor

Megan is Kristen’s cousin and built-in best friend. They spent their childhood arguing over who Grandma loved more, and Kristen is still unconvinced that it is actually “a tie,” as Grandma always claims. Megan also introduced Kristen to Eric Church and taught her the importance of proper boot stomping during his songs. From the moment Kevin met Megan, Jeremiah, Colton, and Aria, they welcomed him right into the Bernard family, even though they were a little concerned he did not know how to play Euchre — and, unfortunately, still does not. Some of Kristen and Kevin’s favorite memories with Megan and Jeremiah are meeting them at the casino, where they have taught them how to prolong their losses. Megan and her family have made Kevin feel like one of their own from the very beginning, jokes and all. Kristen had the honor of being the Maid of Honor in Megan’s wedding, and now it means so much to have Megan standing beside her on her own wedding day. She already knows Megan will probably make her cry on the wedding day — and honestly, she would not have it any other way.

Ashley Ducharme

Bridesmaid

Ashley is Kristen's cousin and instigator of many family pranks growing up. The Bernards Family proudest moment was converting Ashley from a Bears to a Packers fan after taking Ashley to Packer's training camp. Kristen's favorite memories with Ashley include long weekends Up North riding four-wheelers, Kristen avoiding the barn at all cost, and sleepover at the hunting cabin where Kristen was always convinced they were going to get attacked by a bear - and Ashley not worried because she knew she could outrun Kristen. Kristen was honored to stand beside Ashley on her wedding day, and it means so much to now have Ashley standing beside her as she marries Kevin.

Frankie Bernards

Bridesmaid

Frankie is Kristen's Sister-in-Law, confidant, and mom to Kristen's two favorite little humans. Over the years, Kristen and Frankie have grown close, and Frankie has become someone Kristen can always count on for support, advice, and a good reality check when needed. Frankie was also the very first person to know about Kevin. Before Kristen and Kevin even went on their first date, Frankie was already cheering her on, asking for updates, and giving Kristen the encouragement she needed. Frankie warmly welcomed Kevin into the family, the two immediately finding commonality in the night owl life. Kristen is so grateful for the bond she and Frankie have built and for Frankie always supporting her her. Having Frankie stand beside her on her wedding day means so much — not only because she is family, but because she has been such an important part of Kristen and Kevin’s story from the very start.

Tonya Oswald

Bridesmaid

From elementary school memories to college weekends and everything in between, Tonya has been Kristen’s sidekick through every stage of life. The two have shared years of memories, from summer basketball leagues, hours of tanning on the pier, working together as custodians at the Lodi High School, and now celebrating Tonya's daughters birthdays. Tonya took Kristen to her very first concert to see O.A.R., which turned into a tradition of seeing the band together countless times over the years. Whether it was concerts, lake days, or everyday life, Tonya has always been one of those people who makes everything more fun. Kristen was honored to stand beside Tonya on her wedding day, and now it means so much to have Tonya standing beside her as she marries Kevin. Of course, Tonya made sure to do her part early on by grilling Kevin the first time they met — just to make sure he was good enough for Kristen. Thankfully, he passed the test.

Tamara Zeman

Bridesmaid

Kristen and Tamara have been friends since elementary school. Growing up, they spent countless hours together playing sports, attending St. Patrick’s Church, and singing along to Eric Church in concert at the top of their lungs. Tamara is Kristen’s most competitive friends, but also one of the most caring. Whether it was sports, school, or anything in between, Tamara always brought the competitive energy in a way that always motivated Kristen to keep up with her. Even though they have lived states away, Kristen and Tamara have always remained close - Kristen benefiting from the distance with trips to California, Minneapolis, and Chicago. Their friendship is one that has lasted through every stage of life, no matter the distance. Kristen is so grateful for all the memories they have shared, the laughs along the way, and to have Tamara standing beside her on her wedding day.

Alyse Kearney

Bridesmaid

Alyse and Kristen have been friends since childhood, with Alyse always benefiting from the frosted animal crackers in Kristen’s packed lunches. From growing up together and playing sports, to later attending college together at UW-Whitewater, Alyse has been a constant in Kristen’s life through so many different stages. Even after all these years, they still keep their competitive spirit alive through alumni curling and softball tournaments — proving that some things never really change. Alyse is one of Kristen’s most supportive and caring friends, always showing up with encouragement, kindness, and a way of making the people around her feel loved. Kristen was honored to stand beside Alyse on her wedding day, and now it means so much to have Alyse standing beside her as she marries Kevin. Kristen is so grateful for a friendship that has lasted since childhood, for all the memories they have made along the way, and for the chance to share another special milestone together.

Aria Blosser

Flower Girl

Known as “Aunt Kristen” to Aria, she is Kristen’s second cousin and the perfect flower girl for their wedding. From swimming days to movie dates, Kristen and Aria love any excuse for a day together. Aria brings so much sweetness, excitement, and personality everywhere she goes. She has been practicing her walk and twirls for the wedding. Kristen is so grateful for the bond they share and cannot wait to have Aria walk down the aisle as one of the cutest and most important members of the wedding party.

Jenna Zalud

Personal Attendant

Jenna and Kristen were randomly selected to be roommates at UW-Whitewater and became instant friends. What started as a random roommate assignment quickly turned into them syncing nap schedules, planning Thursday night dorm shenanigans, and nightly dinners at Esker. They lived together all four years and still refer to each other as “roomies” to this day. Their time in college created a bond that has turned them into lifelong friends. Every spring, they look forward to a girls’ spa weekend, and every fall, they spend time together at the lake house for the Whitewater Family Weekend. Through the years, Jenna has remained such a special part of Kristen’s life, and no matter how much time passes, they always pick right back up where they left off. Jenna welcomed Kevin into the Whitewater Family instantly, making him feel like he had been part of the group all along. Kristen is so grateful for the friendship she and Jenna built from day one, for all the memories they have shared, and to have her “roomie” standing beside her on her wedding day.

Jackie Irving

Personal Attendant

Jackie and Kristen met on the fourth floor of Wellers at UW-Whitewater and have stayed close ever since. What started as a college friendship quickly turned into years of memories, laughter, and a bond that has continued well beyond their Whitewater days. From living together in college to attending concerts, being on the sideline during race days, Whitewater Family weekends, and everything in between, Jackie has been such a steady part of Kristen’s life. She is the kind of friend who is always there to cheer you on, celebrate the big moments, and make the ordinary ones more memorable. Whether they are catching up, making plans, or supporting each other through new stages of life, Jackie has remained someone Kristen is so grateful to have by her side. Having Jackie stand beside her on her wedding day means so much, and Kristen could not imagine celebrating this next chapter without her.

Raksha Lowrey

Personal Attendant

Raksha was one of Kristen’s first friends in grad school, and the two became instant friends after being nominated to the Student Advisory Council together. What started as a grad school friendship quickly turned into a lasting bond filled with support, laughter, and plenty of shared adventures. Since then, Kristen and Raksha have traveled near and far, spent countless hours playing tennis, and always finding time to catch up over walk. Raksha and Matt were the first of Kristen's friends to meet Kevin. Kevin and Matt bonded instantly over baseball and their dogs. Kristen is so grateful for how welcoming Raksha and Matt have been with their relationship from the very beginning. Raksha is thoughtful, loyal, and always someone Kristen can count on for good conversation, encouragement, and a sweet treat. Kristen was honored to be in Raksha's wedding and could not imagine celebrating without her.

Tylur Lengfeld

Best Man

Kevin first met Tylur at a party, where he was introduced only as “Muffin.” For longer than Kevin would like to admit, he had no idea what Tylur’s actual name was — or that it was spelled with a “u.” Their friendship really took off during spring break in Panama City Beach and grew from there through a shared love of golf, countless rounds, and plenty of laughs. Kevin was honored to stand beside Tylur on his wedding day, and now he is excited to have Tylur standing beside him as Best Man on his own. Fair warning: Tylur has been known to be a flight risk at weddings, so if anyone sees him wandering off, please point him back — Kevin has strongly considered putting a GPS tracker on him for the night.

Tyce Shirley

Groomsman

If you know Tyce, there’s a good chance you know him as “Spyder.” The nickname fits because no matter where he goes, Tyce somehow knows someone there. Kevin first got to know Tyce through the Florence Family in college, and over time, Tyce became one of those people who had a way of bringing everyone together. Tyce is the kind of guy who somehow knows everyone in the room, but still makes his own people feel like the priority. He brings a positive energy that people naturally gravitate toward, checks in when it matters, and has a way of keeping friendships alive even when life gets busy. He can take a joke, give it right back, and is usually good for a laugh whether he meant to be or not. Kevin was honored to stand beside Tyce on his wedding day and is grateful to have him standing beside him on his own. And if you get the chance, ask Tyce about his high school wrestling career — although if you wait long enough, he’ll probably bring it up himself.

Ryne Yakoubek

Groomsman

Ryne and Kevin became close in college as part of the “Florence Family” — a random group of guys and girls who somehow found each other and became lifelong friends. Their friendship grew through a shared love of baseball, sports, golf, and countless hours of MLB The Show. Kevin still hasn’t fully forgiven Ryne for deleting “Cal Calloway,” mostly because Ryne was clearly jealous of how good Kevin’s player was becoming. Ryne is one of the easiest people to be around. He can take a joke, give it right back, and is genuinely one of the kindest people Kevin knows. Over the years, he and Kevin have also shared plenty of rounds of golf, though Kevin is still trying to understand how Ryne can hit a 60-degree wedge 170 yards. Kevin may never fully support Ryne’s love of the Yankees, but they have learned to overcome it. Every once in a while, Kevin even manages to beat him in darts, and when that happens, he makes sure Ryne hears about it while conveniently forgetting all the times he lost. And for the record, Kevin is still not fully convinced it isn’t spelled “Brian,” but at this point he’s too afraid to ask.

Phil Bernards

Groomsman

Phil is Kristen’s brother, and Kevin first met him the best way possible: over a round of golf at the Lodi Golf Course. Kevin quickly proceeded to get his butt whooped and learned an important lesson — he cannot take the “Phil lines” on the course and should probably just stay in his lane. From the beginning, Phil has always been incredibly welcoming and kind to Kevin. Somewhere along the way — whether he likes it or not — he became much more than Kristen’s brother and a true friend to Kevin. Some of Kevin’s favorite memories with Phil include spending time on the pontoon and helping police Dave, the father of the bride, who has been known to treat buoys and no-wake zones more like casual suggestions than actual rules. Kevin is grateful to have Phil standing beside him on the wedding day, and even more grateful to officially be joining the Bernards family — though he may wait until after that happens before bringing up his favorite version of Phil: the missing front tooth era.

Chris Powless

Groomsman

Chris and Kevin have been close since their LaGrange Elementary days, when Kevin quickly realized Chris was one of the funniest people he would ever meet. If this were Harry Potter, Chris would probably be Kevin’s Patronus. From recess basketball on the blacktop because neither of them wanted to deal with snow pants, to years of Brewers games, Packers talk, and nonstop laughs, their friendship has always been full of humor. Some of Kevin’s favorite memories are from high school lunches, when he and Chris would argue over whose day it was to drive, debate where to eat like an old married couple, and cruise around blasting Justin Timberlake before inevitably giving up and pulling into Taco Bell. Kevin is still pretty sure he has an unpaid tab with Chris from those lunches. Kevin was honored to stand beside Chris on his wedding day and is incredibly grateful to have one of his oldest friends standing beside him on his own.

Mike Guerten

Groomsman

Mike started as Kevin’s neighbor, but thanks to Kona running over to greet him one day, it quickly became clear that fate had other plans. Kona, Cora Grace, and sweet Lexie Lou quickly became the original Northlawn Posse, and Kona now treats Mike and Mandi’s house like an extension of her own — stopping by for treats, the “world’s best water,” and occasionally making herself comfortable on the couch until Kevin comes to retrieve her. Mike has been one of the most welcoming and selfless people Kevin has ever met. As the outgoing neighbor, garage host, project helper, and unofficial neighborhood greeter, Mike has a way of making sure everyone feels included — whether they planned on it or not. He has helped Kevin with everything from vehicle fixes to house projects, and if there is something to work on, Mike is usually the first one there with tools, advice, and a beer fridge nearby. Over the years, Mike, Mandi, and their family have become much more than neighbors. They have welcomed Kevin and Kristen with open arms and become the kind of extended family that means more than words can really say. Kevin is incredibly grateful to have Mike standing beside him on the wedding day — and would also like to formally ask him to stop mowing dandelions into his lawn.

Jackson Bernards

Ring Bearer

Jackson is Kristen’s nephew and one of her favorite little humans. With his spunk and awesome dance moves, he is sure to be the life of the dance floor. Kristen loves spending time with Jackson, whether they are practicing dancing for the wedding, snuggling while watching a show, “whale” watching on pontoon, or chasing “bears” together. Having Jackson as the ring bearer makes the day even more special for Kristen. She is so grateful to have him be such an important part of the wedding and cannot wait to see him in his suite — and, of course, tear it up on the dance floor.

Finn Bernards

Ring Bearer

Finn is Kristen’s nephew and one of her favorite little humans. He is inquisitive, full of personality, and has just enough of his Auntie’s stubbornness to keep everyone on their toes. Kristen loves spending time with Finn, whether they are on the pontoon, attempting to read books together, or being lovingly bossed around by him. Kristen is also pretty sure Finn likes Kona more than he likes her — and honestly, she cannot really blame him. Having Finn be part of the wedding makes the day even more special. With his curiosity, confidence, and unpredictable charm, he is sure to make the wedding memorable in the best way. Kristen is so grateful to have him as such an important part of her life and cannot wait to celebrate with him on the big day.

Colton Blosser

Usher

Colton is Kristen’s godson and second cousin, and he has always held such a special place in her life. Whether cheering him on from the sidelines at his games or creating their own competitive scoring system as spectators, Colton, Kristen, and Kevin always find a way to turn game day into a competition. Colton has lovingly accepted Kevin as “Uncle Kevin” and is usually disappointed if Kristen shows up without him. It is one of the many ways Colton has made Kevin feel like part of the family from the very beginning. Kristen is so grateful for the bond they share and loves watching him grow up. Having Colton be part of the wedding makes the day even more special, and cannot wait to celebrate with him.
