Lodging in the area (English)

The Ex Hacienda San Carlos Borromeo is a beautiful place, but it is not surrounded by a wide range of lodging options. The hotels we recommend below -most notably Hotel Ex Hacienda Cocoyoc- are a mix of convenience (less than 10 minutes away by taxi) and nicety. For many people, however, the best option might be to rent an Airbnb either 1) Super close to the hacienda at the town called Los Arcos, Morelos (this is actually the town where San Carlos is), or 2) In Cocoyoc, specifically Lomas de Cocoyoc near the Golf Club. Out of ignorance, we would discourage staying in Yautepec or nearby towns that are not Cocoyoc, Cuernavaca, Cuautla or Tepoztlan, which are the towns we mainly know. Finally, a not very farfetched option is to come to San Carlos straight from Mexico City (60 miles, about 55 USD by Uber) and come back at the end. If Uber is not available then the Hacienda knows about some reliable taxis, which we're told will be available anytime during the event.

La Ex Hacienda San Carlos Borromeo es un lugar espectacular, pero no abunda en opciones de alojamiento. Los hoteles que recomendamos aquí (el Hotel Ex Hacienda Cocoyoc y el Hotel Rancho Macloy) son convenientes pues quedan a menos de 10 minutos del lugar. Sin embargo, una muy buena opción es rentar un Airbnb, pues hay bastantes en la zona de Los Arcos (el pueblo donde está San Carlos Borromeo), o un poco más lejos pero siempre conveniente, en Cocoyoc o Cuautla. Para regresar en la noche basta pedir un taxi, y San Carlos tiene el contacto de taxis seguros. Otra opción sería venir directamente desde CDMX y regresar con un grupo de personas en un taxi (un estimado de Uber es aprox. 1000 pesos).

Hotel Hacienda Cocoyoc

This is a quite nice hotel 10 minutes away from the wedding venue. For international people this is a great option as it's also an ex Hacienda and so has a very nice architecture. ------ ESPAÑOL------- Este es uno de los hoteles más cercanos al lugar del evento. Está a 10 minutos aprox. de la Hacienda y, como muchos ya saben, es una excelente opción para quedarse.

Rancho Macloy Hotel Spa & Social Events

One of the closest hotels in the area (less than 5 minutes by car). They also host events so there might not be rooms available if not reserved in advance. ------ESPAÑOL------- Uno de los hoteles más cercanos (a menos de 5 minutos en coche). Al parecer también es un lugar de eventos por lo que podría no haber lugar si no se hace reservación pronta.
