FAQs

Question

Código de vestimenta (English below)

Answer

Question

Dress code

Answer

1) There is no strict dress code, however we recommend guayabera, linen or white shirt for men. And cocktail day dress or guayabera for women. Guayaberas are comfortable for the warm weather conditions we will be in (even if it rains or it is cloudy, which is the current weather forecast). 2) We strongly discourage suits and in particular the use of ties. 3) Please send us an email in case you have any dietary restriction in order to take that into account. 4) We recommend the use of hats not only because you’ll look like Downton Abbey’s Lady Mary but also due to the sun. But again, these are not required.

Question

Logística de Transporte (English below)

Answer

Question

About Transportation

Answer

To get to the Hacienda from Mexico City by bus, we recommend to leave from the Southern Bus Terminal (Terminal de Autobuses del Sur Taxqueña). There are buses every 40 minutes from a company called OCC heading directly to Yautepec, which is the place closest to the Hacienda. Depending on where you are staying, you might want to take other lines going to Oaxtepec -which is close to Cocoyoc- and then take a taxi over to the Hacienda or your Airbnb. Once in the area, we recommend taking taxis anywhere you want to go. However, we hired a (free) van that can take 20 people leaving from the Hotel Ex Hacienda de Cocoyoc to the wedding venue. There will be a sign with orange letters saying “Boda Ima y Berni” on the van. It is scheduled to make runs from the Hotel Hacienda Cocoyoc every 20 minutes starting at 1:50pm. This same van will be making runs at night back to Hacienda Cocoyoc from the venue. Please speak to the Wedding Planner, when you are ready to leave.

Question

For international flyers: how to get to Hacienda San Carlos Borromeo?

Answer

Fly to Mexico City. Tip: there's a Mexican airline called Volaris that usually doesn't appear in flight search engines and they usually have a better price! There are a few options to go to the venue from the city: BUS 1) From the airport, there's an area where you can take the bus toward Oaxtepec. There might be an option to be dropped by in Cocoyoc, then take the taxi to your hotel/the Hacienda. 2) From Mexico City: there are three main bus terminals from where you can go to Cocoyoc. You want to go to Cocoyoc and from there take a taxi to the Hacienda. TAXI Uber is probably a better option, and should roughly range from 1000 to 1200 pesos (around 55 to 75 USD). RENT A CAR At the airport, and Google Maps does its magic. CARPOOL WITH SOMEONE ELSE You know, lots of people will be coming to our wedding from Mexico City so surely there'll be someone who you can carpool with! Let us know if we can arrange something for you ;) we'll probs be busy planning our thang but happy to help.

Question

How can we get to the Hacienda to/from our hotel? --------------------- ¿Cómo transportarse al hotel desde la Hacienda?

Answer

We've been told San Carlos knows about reliable taxis which should be available during the event, so no worries about transporting to/from your hotel or Airbnb. Just bring cash if not taking Uber.
